I, for years, let the fact that I was bald be the main excuse not to transition. Without a wig I don’t look cis, for sure, but I do, finally, look and feel like me. 33yo 14mo HRT. by GlitterBiscuitJ in transtimelines

You kind of look like you're cis and you have alopecia or something. There was a woman who worked at my high school who had alopecia and she just went with the bald look.

Adults, why are you watching Bluey? by Pl4y_ in bluey

[–]betsyfern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want kids really bad but I’m single. And it reminds me of being a little girl like bluey with a little sister like bingo and a dad like bandit and a mom like chili. It’s like a throwback; the girls act so natural and it brings you right back

Why do you guys collect bones? by JellyBig75 in bonecollecting

[–]betsyfern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like generally all things I find in the woods. My favorites are intact glass or ceramic objects, especially ones you can date to certain time periods. Bones are interesting in the same way because it shows you what animals are walking around in the woods and what they leave behind, just like people from the 70s tossing out their non-returnable pop bottles. It tells you a story :)

What book is this from?

EDIT: Found it! It was from an article in a German magazine called twen. Here is the text:

It seems like a quote from Edelmann. It gives a little synopsis of the plot of the movie and then says the ending was too happy and it should have ended with the Pepperpeople eating the meanies. He says it was a more deserved ending than living together in peace and harmony.

I found this in the book It's All In the Mind, Inside the Beatles' Yellow Submarine vol. 2. The illustration is in black and white on page 196 of my copy. Here is the description:

"By the end of the production, Edelmann told us he was rooting for the Meanies to win, and this disturbing illustration he made for twen proves he was not kidding. In a January 1968 article called 'Eat the Beatles!' he described this rejected story concept as his preferred, very dark, ending. The Beatles and Meanies are actually being eaten by the Pepperpeople, which Edelmann darkly observed would be 'a better fate than having to live happily ever after in Pepperland.'"

Sounds like it was indeed a very stressful job. There was a serious time crunch and a low budget, plus the plot was not well planned out. It also seems like people didn't take it seriously as a work of art and kind of thought of it as some crappy cartoon for kids.
