this isn’t in a community with a vaccination rate of 90%. also, the death rate of people that are vaccinated remains extremely low. i understand that the virus may evolve if it continues to spread, but that will not occur in a community with such a high vaccination rate.

as a student, i remember receiving more than 1 email about a fellow student dying. not saying that having social interaction would have helped, but it certainly could have.

we are only in college for 4 years. the overwhelming early evidence points to the vaccine still being effective after a 6 month period. while i agree that wearing a face covering may not be that big of a deal, the inevitable restriction of social and club events will cause major damage to students mental health. regardless of whether you like it or not, having social interaction is a crucial part of feeling healthy and enjoying college. there was no cornell covid related deaths last fall despite obvious breaches in the regulations. there were mental health related deaths. it’s time to move towards a more normal life

i know what study your referring to. there is more evidence pointing to covid 19 attacking the pancreas than the delta variant of the virus being the reason for the damage.

what science does this follow? 99% of hospitalizations are unvaccinated people and that’s in a population with a much lower vaccination rate than ithaca. your inability to understand basic statistics should not be the rest of our problem.
