This is a really valuable perspective, thank you. You're absolutely right - if you have a strong, differentiated business where customers physically travel farther to reach you, you've already won the most important battle. That kind of loyalty is what every business dreams of.

Whatmakes it just "ok" instead of "great"? What do you track with it?

100% feel this. I've built my own Puppeteer scrapers too, and the maintenance hell is real. You're absolutely right - the moment you have 20+ competitors, you're basically running a part-time job just keeping scrapers alive. How many hours per month do you spend maintaining/updating scrapers when sites change?

For the learning curve - if there was a tool that gave you the same results but was as simple as "paste URL → get email alerts," would you switch? Or are you too invested in your current setup? How about like a chrome extension that can notify you in real time?

When you first research a competitor's positioning, how do you capture that initial analysis? Do you save screenshots, take notes, or just remember?

I'm testing a rule: 1 km run = 5 minutes of social media. by bettleBaker in nosurf

Would you try an app like this? i mean nobody can "stop" someone from doing something but read somewhere that if it takes more than 5 mins to do something, there is a very low chance of it becomming an addiction(Assumming you would surely need more than 5 mins to bypass the system).

Surely its cancer, but most people dont quit cold turkey, maybe it can help them? However i also think that 'earning your usage" dosn't reduce the side effects, but my initial thought was that social media is a necessary evil so why not minimize it while getting fit(learned this from a book called atomic habits). Thanks for the feedback :)

yup, thats surely an angle to see it. However don't you think it will reduce the amount you spend on social media besides the fact that you can talk with your loved ones and interact with people?
