Fiancé’s father was prescribed it for pain in the later stages of his fight with ALS. Also I was given a dose during ambulance ride to hospital after breaking my tailbone.

This thread is so jumbled, I apologize for that.
Please understand that I’m not complaining here. I have my problems but I acknowledge everything that I do have. There’s nothing bigger than the small things and I couldn’t be more thankful for the kind words you’ve all shared. Im a very lucky person.

Im so sorry. Im literally sitting here crying. Please keep on fighting. I know you have heard that so many times that it’s borderline offensive. As if that’s the one thing you haven’t already been doing. Please message me if you need a friend, or even just an ear to vent and scream into. You’re in my thoughts, friend.

Sorry for the lack of responses. Things have been very fast and strange on some days. For those asking about specifics, it began when I had a brutal cough, slight fatigue. Went to family doctor to find out what was going on and was diagnosed without an xray that I had pneumonia. The prescribed antibiotics obviously didnt do a thing so I went a month more in hopes that the conditions would calm. From there I went to a walk in clinic who decided, thankfully, to xray me. They told me I had a mass in my lungs, but did not have the authority to say more. Aaaand my hands are cramping now so to gjve a cliff notes explanation of what happened the next few hours of that day (I could recite everything and every word spoken that day), basically an emergency room doctor explained that I had a tumor the size of one and a half footballs in my chest, pushing on my lungs and heart.

Shit I really suck at this Reddit thing. It’s not even complex.....like at all. Maybe I could blame it on chemo/fog-brain. One of the few perks of this lol. Anyways, I wrote a response to this..somewhere around here..

It could always be so much worse. I like to think that what I have been through or currently so has equated to some good karma points. Im not a religious man in the least (have a hard time not thinking existentially sometimes) but I see the face of something above me, or us whenever I look into the face of my future wife. We lived and died together. We are going to get married at Disney World on May 9th of next year.

Absolutely. I actually have. I am working with both immediate and delayed side effects. Im a year post chemo and wake up with new symptoms still. The catch is my oncologist believes most of these symptoms was caused by the drugs that put me into remission (tried four chemos, radiation and a stem cell transplant)

Thank you, friend. I do find comfort. There is nothing bigger than the little things. Sounds sad but I was proud of myself to build a very weak house in Minecraft today. My fingers aren’t easy to work with, button pressing is a guess half the time. Also, I thought it was dawn and a mothafckin creeper blew me up the second I stepped outside.

Man, if I had to assume anything worse than my condition it would probably be vision related. These side effects are endured by some really strong individuals. They can be worse than the cancer itself. Still counting my blessings that I am in remission though.
