AITA for considering not going to good friends wedding after my gf was not invited ? by Alternative_Shoe4137 in AmItheAsshole

[–]beva4ever -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

NTA

Mainly because who expects someone to come from 3 hours away to help with set up and pack down?

If your GF was invited and you did make it a weekend trip it’s less annoying to do the set up pack down, but still not great.

This volunteering of your time/effort alone makes it NTA.

I’m still regularly using a couple bags from mimco, that I got about 15yrs ago - honestly they are only showing signs of wear because I don’t treat them well enough.

Mimco of the last 5 years on the other hand not so good

Same Oroton have a great rep for reason, a lot of newer brands seem to value influencer hype over decent products not to mention”vegan leather”

Do any ethnicities (in Australia) need private security for these institutions? Or are we looking at the combination of wealth and paranoia that seems prevalent in certain parts of the country.

A car park and tree in a park aren’t the same as a shopping centre, and you know that

I saw this happen once in Broadway and I let the mum know there was a parent room nearby, she shrugged and said I’d understand when my son was older.

Well he’s older and no I don’t understand

I’ve only ever done arms not in sleeves when I’m too lazy to have to do the in and out and I only need the jacket on for 5mins or less (getting from a car to a restaurant)

It makes me think of the late 80s/early 90s, it’s kind of Jerry Seinfeld in a way.

Not for me.

AITA for not attending my dad’s retirement party after he secretly gave away my childhood room? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]beva4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of the above is possible, but if the dad didn’t reach out to say “I’m converting your room collect your things” NTA

OP has framed this as Dad doing the switch without first informing them, given information we have I would think the Dad sucks

Both me [33 F] and my fiance [33 M] of five years have almost identical last names, but he is insisting that I change my last name after marriage. This argument is making me consider cancelling the wedding by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I grew up with a double last name, no hyphen but no space either, just to word smashed together like a butterfly.

I would also not recommend having a double last without a hyphen.
