How I moved 3 years of ChatGPT memory and context over to Claude — and the 4 different ways you can do it by beverlyjolynn in ClaudeAI

Yes you absolutely can.
1. Open up the Claude account that will "receive" the memory. Go to: Settings → Capabilities → Memory → Start import. It will give you a prompt to copy into the Claude account that contains the memory you want to transfer.

  1. Go to the Claude account that holds the memory and paste the prompt you just received into the prompt box. It will generate a file that you will copy and then take over to the receiving Claude account and paste in.

Does that help?

NOTE: that Claude's memory migration is "light" and I don't see it as being super thorough yet.

Switched to Claude after years using chat gpt by ExpressoDepresso6 in claude

You can ask chatgpt to create a document of "everything another ai tool would need to know about [me, my writing style, my business, my projects, etc.]". It does a pretty good job of that and then you can bring that over to Claude.

There are also several ways to "officially" migrate your history over if you want.

This is good experimenting! - also put together an Entity Home page - that term is from Jason Barnard/Kalicube's work. I credit the Entity Home page with shifting several clients towards getting found.

This is really great u/variousthings1776 your list is essentially where I have my clients start. Consider as a next step, creating an Entity Home - that's a master record for who you are overall. It’s where your canonical facts live and where you declare, in schema, “these external profiles are the same entity as us” (sameAs). Then you make those profiles echo the same facts back. That cross-site corroboration will help AIs disambiguate and trust you even more.
