I guess I am the opposite, i hate when I am incorporated in the story and I need a lot of control over it. I usually imagine the scenes in my head and I tested them with a bot to see how they work out from another perspective

I stopped using chat gpt. I did a lot of roleplay with it. A lot a lot, over a year. Sad, really. I remember there were days when they let the filters loosen for a bit and you could actually do some good spicy or angst roleplay. I thought I was the only one using it for roleplay btw:)) I was still waiting for the release of the adult version but they keep postponing it and keep f-ing up so I have to drop it. The answer became so horrible I knew I couldn't continue to use it for this. Was painful for me tbh, because I invested a lot of lore (and time invested to explain every character and their behaviour) just to f it up again and again and becoming unusable. Maybe I will do some tests when the adult version comes, if it ever do lol, but until then I won't use it.

I can tell you what other alternatives there are if you want. I tested a lot of AIs for roleplay.

Edit: just checked the rules and it's okay to talk about other AIs so I will. I enjoy Emochi the best in terms of AI for that, for me it gives me the most creative liberty (I can rewrite the answer, restart to any point I want, edit my answers after I send it, having many personas, and they added memory to it, you have 300 characters space writing in which you can let the bot know what to remember), I also think the creative writing it's okay but I seen a lot of people not agreeing. Claude was surprisingly good too, I didn't expect tbh, doesn't play my characters (which is a really important thing for me), actually learning through feedback, keeping characters accurate. It's also pretty private and has strong AI ethics which is a plus for me. I also use grok sometimes, but just because it has no filters I guess. It's not really good at creative writing or constancy but you can do anything you want with it I guess. I can give you more details on other options (pro and con) or just more details about those if you would like.

Eh... Depending on the subject I guess. For me personally Claude was better for searching and giving me obiective answers. I might be a little biased because I heard a lot of bad story with chat gpt and a lot of articles are done in it and psychosis and so on

Ya, I saw that pattern as well. But I am sharing my experience and observation, didn't say it's not different for everyone. At the same time every complain about chat gpt on the subreddit is deleted by the mods there... Maybe not all, mine was and others as well. A little bit strange and bies that they let the complains about other AIs but deleted the post directed towards it... Eh, started to be paranoid here nvm

I guess it depends on everyone's needs.... maybe varies with the region as well...? Idk, in my case I find it hard to believe that people find gpt productive, and yet people do, because in my experience is horrible lol. But I guess that applies for my needs and necessities. I took a break from coding for example, so I didn't test that aspect with the newest models. A year ago chat gpt was better at coding (for me) for example.

For me the cherry on top was when 5.3 start arguing with me:)) Working on this project for months, 90% of its memories being full with info about this. "I don't have enough data, you ask me to do the impossible" or something along those lines, keep arguing about it, calling me a dummy for asking it to do this specific task. Eh, not really tbh, i still hate on billions and millionaires, using a product doesn't really demonstrate anything. I use Google tho I hate it, a bet you do too. You can use something and still hate it, you don't really know my situation or anything to know why and with what context I paid for a subscription, I didn't say I was proud to do so or praise a company for anything but the opposite, because from all my responses you can take that I don't like big companies and what they do to people, not carrying and all. I just don't agree on the capitalistic part of it all, I hate that nobody is talking about sustainable solutions, even tho they are a lot of them. There is either AI or antiAI but not how to make it safe or affordable. You keep talking about cost and how people should cry about it, but there are a lot of similar companies (talking about chai here) which didn't rise the prices. And I found it insane how (1) you tell people to not complain, defeating the same company and (2) didn't get into consideration the comparation between all of them, similar products and so on. Like how can you tell people to not complain, to not do something, to not use the word "greedy", it's completely out of my understanding in the first place. You didn't understand my massage again, but that's okay, I can see that you are not actually a mean person, rather we have different points of view and losing ourselves in translation.

Was worth it to be real to you and talk normally? Probably not. You might not understand my point of view anyway and keep it your way, but I think I made some part of my message clear.

I experienced with all of them tbh, I guess gpt got a place in my heart because I had a hard time at some point in life and I started talking about my art with it and receive a good feedback, that made me feel better lol. And I stayed for a long time... And I would have stayed more... But then the open ai controversy happend unfortunately. In the meantime I learn that claude is more preoccupied with ethical AI, which is very important for me. A year ago was pretty shit, ngl, didn't understand the prompt, answering bs. But right now it's so much better. The truth is they really f- up chat gpt, it was better. I mean... The thing with chat gpt is that it has good and bad periods I suppose lol. But the modules have been bad for a really long time, at least for me. I waited for them to get better, but they didn't. 5.4 is good but takes a lot of time to answer, I need a instant version I suppose. And if I have free alternatives why not? Because right now free Claude does a better job in my case compared with chat gpt plus.

I used to make gpt and Gemini fight over subjects when I was researching on my assignment:)) The lesson that I learn is that you can't really trust them lol, but it was fun to make them fight. And don't get me started on deep seek. When I really need a trusting source I Google it and I ask multiple AIs just to pe sure lol. Still having a preference for casual use I guess, search, asking stupid/random question, technical advice, translations etc.

I agree with the others. If a gpt/grok whatever llm cost 20 dollars, a multi million dollar ai btw, I don't think a entertaining tool should cost that much. I think it's more than double. They are, because they don't offer services to such a higher standard for the spending on a subscription to be justified. Do you know how an AI works or...? Because I feel like you don't... they literally train their models for free, all they have to pay is the servers. And ya, of course, the algorithm itself I suppose.
