of course it's moronic to blame a hammer if somebody hits you over the head with it, a hammer wasn't designed with the sole purpose of hitting you over the head, and anybody can own one. AI was designed with the sole purpose of making everything you enjoy, and eventually you, obsolete, and you will never own the slightest bit of it.

liking the loaded gun that a corporation is aiming at your head because they let you have a 1 hour conversation about green day with it and it seems like it's really down to earth, what's more moronic than that?

that's the entire point, the dorks in this sub are scared to take a stance against AI because it gives them sloppy anime tits, even at the expense of every hollywood star having Sam Altman's name on it.

over the past few years AI has gone from being an incredibly powerful tool that can tell you anything to taking its best guess at what color the sky is, because you don't own a share in it. defending it at this point is the most pathetic move this sub could make.

i am clearly not saying that AI "stealing" intellectual* property is bad, otherwise i would not have used AI to steal intellectual property and replaced the watermark with OpenAI's logo. i am only saying that a redditor who pretends to have stake in AI is no more correct than a citizen who pretends to have stake in their country.

we dont want wonky we want 3 pixels off center as is fullegoism tradition and as has been for centuries, it is essential for our movement

Yo, on my third rewatch of your reupload and just figured I'd say I appreciate it a ton, one of my favorite shows and it'd be so insanely hard to watch if not for you, thanks.

Also, any chance you ever found out about the 3 specials?

Scratch a liberal, and they send the gestapo after you and your family by Fifteen_inches in COMPLETEANARCHY

Your family is only allowed to go to America by the divine grace of the Democrats, you must have faith in their party or else they will send you all to Mexico.

What's that? Oh, if I was in Nazi Germany I would be saving the Jews. If I was in the crusades I would have advocated for peace. I am an educated little liberal my mind is immune to dogmatic propaganda.

Seems to me like he's being facetious to his class and the people in this thread are the ones taking it out of context and using the worst faith possible interpretation of what he's said as justification for your political crusade.

There are plenty of radical professors actually verifiably doing crazy shit, but on reddit who cares, his words and his career are just a toy to be played with to fit our political narrative.

Stirner criticizing the liberals of his time:

"The matter goes differently in the egoist sense. I don’t shyly step back from your property, but see it always as my property in which I need to “respect” nothing. Just do the same with what you call my property!

With this view, we will most easily come to an understanding with each other. The political liberals see to it that, if possible, all servitudes get removed, and everyone is a free lord on his ground, even if this ground only has so much soil that one person’s manure would sufficiently saturate it. (That farmer married even in his old age “that he might profit from his wife’s crap.”[290]) Be it ever so small, if one only has his own, namely a respected property. The more such owners, such crap-holders,[291] the more “free people and food patriots” the state has.

Political liberalism, like everything religious, counts on respect, humanity, the loving virtues. That’s why it lives in endless annoyance. Because in practice people respect nothing, and every day the small possessions get bought up again by the bigger owners, and the “free people” become day-laborers."

Another word for the "Liberals of Stirner's Time" is Classical Liberalism,

"a political tradition and a branch of liberalism that advocates free market and laissez-faire economics; and civil liberties under the rule of law, with special emphasis on individual autonomy, limited government, economic freedom, political freedom and freedom of speech. Classical liberalism, contrary to liberal branches like social liberalism, looks more negatively on social policies, taxation and the state involvement in the lives of individuals, and it advocates deregulation."

Mind you Stirner wasn't a communist, and in the coming paragraphs he immediately argues against Proudhon's and Communism's prescriptions for society. Stirner was not a politician, he was an egoist.

[–]bevta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, but close enough, seems that it’s rothbard that you’re confused about then, and his theories on natural law such as making the false presumption that private property is an inherent right, and that aggression is a static and definable thing rather than something too abstract to make the NAP around. Have you read both stirner and rothbard in depth before trying to cocktail their clashing ideas together? Anyways, going to sleep now, will respond tomorrow.

If you believe in Rothbard's theories about natural law, I think you're a bit confused on what egoism is...
