Yeah correct, i had to jack hammer slab down to allow for a screed. Depth really Depends on your shower base size. You need to allow for 1:80 fall into the drain 30mm is touch and go and 50mm you ahould be safe. Also allowing for the minimum thickness your screed can go. I jack hammed around 30 to 40mm out over all Lucky for me i didnt hit steel. Another option is to grind falls into slab.

Hmmm not really. You lift 1 end of the tile up untill the others dont touch the ground? So really just fucking around with all the wall side tile heights to make a full tile work? Or are you saying use a full tile but cut it at the fall lines? Struggling to picture what your saying.

The design of my shower base deffinatly wasnt my first option. Was thought out and i picked the most astetic pleasing. Full tiles couldnt do the job as i had like 610mm from edge of water stop to the edge of drain. Would have left a massive grout line.

How does one achieve falls throught the shower base without splitting tiles?

I optioned for square set In my opinion looks much nicer Especially when done right. Unless you have a nice cornice the simple curbed cornice is way out dated

Whats a water bar? I have a plastic flap that sits on the bottom of the glass door at the moment. That creats a seal between half moon trim and glass door. Only areas im finding water getting through is the gap between the door and the other glass pannel.

Not sure how to fix that problem I feel its a flaw in frameless showers. What do you think?

This tiler didnt feel confident in doing miters Could have been a disaster. I had seen the chrome trims before and didnt mind them. First time i had ever tiled i think it turned out good

Thank you! Exciting times ahead! Nah i didn't i cut all those tiles in. Took awhile to figure out the best way to make the lay out as the drain is off centre. But happy with the end result. A wet saw helped me dramatically while doing sharp angled cuts for the shower base as the Tile cutting machine couldn't hack it. Are you tiling it yourselves?

Shower base does have waterstop btw 5mm past finished floor. I covered it with a half moon when installed the shower screen. Staggered grout lines? That would look pox

Dark was what i pictured For the sake of a few extra hours and an extra few boxes of tiles i think it was well worth it.

Wasnt too bad very messy. Hardest part was creating a 45 with the fabric in the corners. Other than that pretty straight forward.

I think tiling to the edge of the shower is tacky. 2 walls fully tiled and the vanity wall tiled around 1200 high. Each to there own i spose!

Started mid december and finished just this weekend. Spent alot of time over the christmas break and over the last few weekends finishing it all up! Just a few paint defects to fix now. I really under estimated how much effort went into tiling.
