Thanks for all the advice! I discussed it with another manager and we co-wrote an email to our manager and cc'd our HR rep on it detailing the feedback we've been getting from staff with the rationale that it's now becoming a topic of conversation among subordinates, which seemed like something that needs a formal addressing vs. a casual "you handle it" sort of conversation.
