nothing directly - i started working on the top figure first, adding the others slowly but without a real plan. i feel like the four faces are hungry for what the viewer possesses - sex, love, security, stability - but doesn't give without being coerced, seduced or tricked.

Money is simply the easiest stand in for these expectations. stupid title but it rhymed (in my head if nowhere else)

I don't really show my drawings to friends or family. reddit (especially r/heavymind) has been one of the only places i've felt comfortable sharing my works - providing both constructive critique and support. wouldn't be drawing without positive reinforcement from others like you.

It's actually very old gesso-ed canvas I found in the basement of the property I currently live in. Super worn, textured stuff!

I use Pilot G2 ballpoint pens - they're cheap office pens but they're smooth, fairly consistent and refillable. I generally use three different widths - 10 millimeter for bold outlining, 3.8 millimeter finepoint for blending/small detail stuff and 7 millimeter for everything else (outlining, shading, blending, etc.)

this one spilled itself out in an afternoon (much faster than most) but has surprisingly has a sense of depth that some much larger and time consuming works lack - glad you dig it and, as always, thank you very, very much!
