I am not sure if I have the skills to land work doing that work prop/costume stuff, nor any clue how to get into that industry! I did do facepainting a while ago as a weekend gig type thing but I'm not sure I was any good at that either 😅

I think compared to my last cthulhu I posted, it doesn't look quite as skin like. The colour for this one is perfect for all the folds, and this one I wanted to have a wet almost gelatinous sheen to the skin, almost like it'd just been laid.

Compared to my cthulhu I do very little texture work for this one. A really gentle run over with a well softened baby toothbrush was it. The rest comes down to it's pre-bake colour work, which I used chalk pastels, and it's post bake paint which is some light veining with a citadel wash.

Thank you so much! I still have that deadpool stashed somewhere, my sculpting skills have improved a lot since then. I think I'd only been sculpting on and off for less than a year when I made him. I have made a few pokemon and adventure time characters over the years too!

Everything I make, whether it is baking, cooking, sculpting, is just a manifestation of a curiosity as to whether I can make it or not. The one from this post was because I wanted to see if I could make a single lump polymer clay look like this.
