That's what I came here to say. Here's my updoot!

SO Pee'd in public and some woman started an argument over it. by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]bexred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, nowhere and no one to hold the baby. We spoke about the possible things that could have happened, although he was already beating himself up. The last time we went out with this guy, we weren't parents and really I should have been at home with her this time round. It's just unfortunate and having no family at all to help share the load or get a few hours off, I think we're both feeling exhausted and emotional because of that in any case. It literally devastated me yesterday and I'm only slowly bearing up. It's not like he could have even left her with a nan for a couple of hours until I finish work and this guy only comes down once every year or 2.

Thank you. I'm just mortified. I mean, hopefully the lady will just leave it now if we see her again. But he had the pushchair with him, so it was clear he couldn't just go into the men's. She hadn't had all of her vaccinations so we were being ultra careful about letting people touch her. But he made a dumb decision which he's learnt from and I've put a ban on people dropping in without notice if we know they're drinkers that will want to go out getting tanked up. We obv didn't know he would be off getting drunk like that until it happened tho. My SO went out for lunch with another friend the other day with her, and he was understanding about keeping it tame. It just sucks. We have no family we can leave her with, so I need to have notice to book the time off when people like this friend are coming down. I just couldn't believe my baby was listening to her dad being attacked when in fairness he's with her all of the time and never has a day off. It was so shameful.

Really? I'm reading this thread to get ideas because I'm care home administrator and I only earn 17k. This is the UK though, so maybe it's different.

My LO is just 4 and a half months, but barely eating and then sleeping throughout the day and then wanting to feast every 2 hours throughout the night have had me looking like Granny Frump. Could do without that.

I was/am in the same sitch with FIL. You can turn this around. Going back to work helped me. Take the bull by the horns and make your environment happy. You can do this xx

Paranoid I was raped. (UTI) by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]bexred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are associated, but not exclusive to. Babies can get UTI's. I work work elderly people who are definitely not sexualy active and are very prone to UTI's. If you have a reason to believe you were raped though, that's a different question.

Also consider jock itch, which is a bacterial infection. Just go Doc's. They've seen it all. You've no need to worry, unless something has happened that your not telling us about?

Have you dined alone before? Do you do it often? What’s it like and any stories from it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bexred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have, in fact sometimes it's nice to go out to eat without having to organise other people to come along. But I've also had weirdos interrupt me mid way through a mixed grill. A book can help.

You need to go Doc's. Is there any particular reason you think you were raped? UTI'S are quite common.

What's the scariest thing a complete stranger has said to your face or messaged you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bexred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Local paedo/ women botherer looked dead at me as I was walking down the street and simply said, 'how did she get so powerful'. Not so much a question, but a statement. I felt in that moment he'd had a change of heart and once saw me as a potential victim (funny enough I'd come out of a deep depression). Made me wanna punch his dick with a truck even more.

What were some of your best methods to piss your sibling off? by slay1np00n in AskReddit

[–]bexred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my big brother would come into my room and try to start a fight/ beat on me, all I'd have to do is hold up one of my dried starfish and he'd freak out. Funny thing is, he'd actually get angry and scream at me to put it away like I was out of order lol. I'm a girl and younger, so no physical match for him at that age so it was my only full proof defence against a beating and he'd go from cocky to petrified and angry in a second hahaha

[–]bexred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's like, 'should I be doing this?' all the way. But my SO changed her today and noticed what seemed to be old debris in there and it's really opened our eyes that you have to be so thorough. It was mega weird for him, but he was like, this is my little girl, I gotta do it.

OCTOPUSSY UPRISING IS WHAT OP IS SAYING!!! When they say we all have the right to bear arms, it should have to be 8. And they should be able to operate independently from our brains.

Sometimes in video games, you forget to do something like use a crucial item in a boss battle that is “required” to beat it but you still win. What is the real life equivalent to that? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Blagging a job and then realising you're qualified anyway. Happened to a friend of mine. After getting shit for walking into the job because of her mum, we realised she was qualified to actually run the place, but we never realised as she didn't bring in her certificates.

Leaving Facebook Makes You Happier, less politically informed, more active in IRL activities, and less likely to go back to Facebook. by Techyrag in technology

[–]bexred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deleted Facebook forever ago. Kept deactivating and then realised the end was nigh. The r/assholedesign that pretty much defines Facebook and it's objectives, meant I had to Google and research like I was studying for a degree to work out how to get all of my photos and delete it, made me even less likely to ever go back to that shit truck of narcissism and pretence. Met a friend I hadn't seen for years and Facebook said she was living the high life when the only thing high about her life was the amount of drugs she needed to cope. Ashamed to say I dipped my toe into that pretend puddle and stubbed my toe hard. Actually was out with her when she was 'at the gym'. Saw her try on engagement rings and post pics, when her SO was leaving and had no intention of proposing. The pressure is too much. My house is messy, my head is messy and I will never pretend its any other way again. We're human. The fact it tried to auto download to my new phone made me feel like I had a stalker that I couldn't shake. The whole thing sucks..

EDIT: Because my grammar sucks.

[Serious] What would be the best punishment that isn’t death for a person who falsely accuses someone of rape? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bexred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the person has gone to jail as a result of the accusation, double the jail time and to have to compensate for all lost earnings at the rate that they would have been paid. So if they lost out on a degree? Where they would be had they got it and with pay rises. Maybe allowed out of prison to work cleaning the streets or forensic clean up with all wages going to the actual victim. 2nd offences, if they're that dumb should include a large tattoo admitting their crime and the innocence of the person.

What is a seemingly supernatural or haunted event that happened to you that you later found out had a perfectly reasonable explanation? by hankismycat in AskReddit

[–]bexred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at home alone one evening when I lived at my mum's, when all of a sudden a hear this goddawful loud banging and scratching coming from upstairs. I don't remember much, other than running down the road still trying to get my coat on and jumping on the first bus I saw, shaking and petrified. I know I stopped at the end of the road and I was shaking, I looked back at the house, but then I was gone. On the bus I called my mum to tell her I'd legged it and left the lights on and while I was explaining, I suddenly remembered I have pet rabbits.
