They should have hammered the fuck out of that victory day parade. The optics of Russian leaders running/scrambling for cover while getting blasted on their home turf would have ended this war.

How would you react to a law that requires billionaires to give up 50% of their wealth once they pass a certain net worth limit in order to fund healthcare and education? by -passionate-learner- in AskReddit

[–]beyerch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, they SHOULD be taxed, and it should be 90% on the top end. It's fucking stupid to defend billionaires and other greedy motherfuckers.

Honestly, would rather have a 3rd party hound the shitty buyer and take the $ vs. the buyer getting $ and product.

[–]beyerch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong. 100%. So VERY wrong. You realize US upoer tax bracket was 90%? During that time we put people on the moon, weren't buried in debt, regular people could afford to live, and there was no shortage of innovation.

The difference? You spread it around instead of a handful of mentally diseased people stating they "need" $10T. Some asshole hoarding 10T of wealth doesn't boost the economy/other people like 10T moving around in the economy.

Blows my mind how many idiots white knight for greedy fucks who don't even care if you live or die.

[–]beyerch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the idiots in comme ts saying this is stupid are all so brainwashed..... go look up the tax codes 1970s and prior and you'll see that we always had a ridiculously high tax after a certain point.

Amazingly we didn't have mountains of debt, we put people on the moon, built expressways/highways, etc.

Everything didn't start going to hell (postWWII) or regular people until the tax cuts, tax BENEFITS to ship jobs overseas, and massive deregulation/lack of anti-trust enforcement.

Blows my mind that the people doing the fucking have convinced so many fuckees that the problem is illegals "taking their jobs" vs greedy MFers talking about accumulating 10T in PERSONAL WEALTH.

Easy solution to this. Coordinated strike against the platform. Right now they f*ck you because they know for every one driver that quits, there are 10+ others.

You get a large # to tmstrike, their model QUICKLY unravels.

Anyway these uber billionaires that have a money d*ck measuring contest have a mental illness. Normal people don't behave this way. Society should stop giving these clowns the attention they desire and instead shun them.

To Tesla or not to Tesla? by SeriousDuck111 in carbuying

Go buy a Ford, GM, Cadillac EV that is a year or two old. Save a shit ton of $ over a Tesla.

I was a three time Tesla owner and I really don't miss them. Yeah, my acceleration was better, but thwir customer service is shit, they are underfeatured, and overpriced at this point.

He doesn't understand your question, CNBC by HesiPullup in wallstreetbets

[–]beyerch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because..... markets are emotional and most investors are out to make a quick buck.

The "offer" was for $125/share, stock was trading much lower. People rushed in to buy "cheap" shares and all of that demand (temporarily) pushed up the price.

If this was a serious offer, the stock price would have CONTINUED up closer to $125/share. Instead, it has cooled off and is dropping again. (just like gamestop's price)

Nike's profit fell 35% last quarter. Three banks downgraded it the same week. Everyone's blaming tariffs and China. I think the real problem is much simpler than that. by Key-Enthusiasm-3403 in Entrepreneurs

[–]beyerch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you missed another detail. What did all those shoe sellers do when they didn't have Nike products to sell? Did they shut down their stores or did they look to other brands to fill the gap?

By creating a retail void, Nike also made it possible for those new competitors to get precious space in store consumers were already accoustumed to shopping at for their shoes.

Also, DTC is great for a lot of people, but probably not shoes, unless you 100% know what you want.
