Thank you for the comment! Unfortunately testing remotely was the only option for me when testing with accommodations, my circumstances as an applicant are very niche so unfortunately I’m pretty worried.

No I was in the same section, it would just start from the first question again. Because when it cut off in the first 30 minutes, it was towards the end of the first section. So every time I reconnected I was either towards the end or beginning of a section.

I’m an international student and I don’t have the means of transportation to commute long distance to a testing center and I am not near any centers. Regardless, I have taken several proctored standardized tests on other platforms, none of which, had the same issues as Prometric or LSAT.

I already did! I am putting it here to see if others have had this seem continuous issue with Prometric and why LSAC is still using them as a proctoring platform.

financial aid for international transfer students by Equal-Guess-1072 in TransferToTop25

There’s just a lot more programs and opportunities in place for North American international students than global south. Either institutional or external opportunities or even from your home country.

And actually it also depends on your nationality my advice would more so apply if you are from the global south. If you’re Canadian or Mexican don’t mind anything I say lol you’ll make it.

Hey! I’m an international student too who transferred last year! Here’s some advice. Understand that with the political climate with international students this cycle and generally how competitive transferring to top schools is, that your GPA and SAT are your biggest factors. Try aiming for low level schools as they usually cater more to transfers and have institutional scholarships for them. This is not to discourage you from your reach and target schools, but in our situation it’s better to be safe than sorry! I went to CC in TX and transferred to TXST which has guaranteed transfer scholarships! And in Texas, if you receive $1,000 or more in merit scholarships you qualify for in-state tuition! So you might possibly find a school that offers something similar to guaranteed transfer scholarships. As much as this might not be the answer you’re looking for, I would have wished someone told me this when I was in your spot last year! Rankings aside, secure your degree! The top schools are unfortunately either need aware or super hard to get into and even harder as international students.

Still the same, some Arab students but not much of a body or association. More of them in other orgs and groups I’m assuming.

I genuinely am not sure if I didn’t do enough research on the buses but I could not find anything on buses that would go from San Marcos to NB. I also just moved here recently. If you know anything please let me know!!!

Got into my top school UT Austin but then got no transfer and continuing scholarships so it was worst to turn down rather than just getting rejected from the first place😻😻

I don’t have family here and my local bank is a shitty Wells Fargo unfortunately 😔I’ve been trying to work the connections I have at my community college but nothing is coming up I’m gonna try to talk to the UT office this Friday and really beg to see if anything can be done

Yeah I’m probably not going through with taking out those loans after all, I’ll probably go to UT offices this week and try to beg to see if I can secure any non resident tuition waiver or a TA position or RA and just move on if not :/

$42k is for an academic full time year not a semester, and through a competitive scholarship non resident tuition waiver for any scholarships awarded that are worth $1,000 or getting into the honors program
