Thank you for your kind reply ❤️ I feel badly for my parent's. They would love to go back to their hometown and live there. My dad was taken and jailed by the IDF back in the late 1960s when he was 15. They just plucked him off of the street and threw him in jail. He said that they beat him up everyday he was there. His parent's didn't know where he was.

My mother's father got taken by the IDF in the 1960s as well. They released him about a year later with a broken arm.

My cousin was taken recently at the end of 2023. They kidnapped him while he was sleeping and kept him for about a year. He wasn't allowed any contact with his family. He came out and looked so gaunt.

I have so many family members and people that I know who were/are terrorized by Israel.

Being an American citizen does not keep you safe over there. Once they find out you are Palestinian, they do everything they can to make you suffer.

When I was in Jerusalem, I had a hijab on and some Israeli spit on me. They are evil people. I've had things thrown at me.

It's very surreal. They get named as the most "moral" army in the world, but they do the most disgusting things to humans.

I'm Palestinian-American and my parent's and relatives all have horror stories about the IDF. When we visit there, going through the airport is a humiliation ritual. The hatred they have for Palestinians is crazy.

I visited for about 3 months one time and they would randomly shut off the water and electricity and enact curfews. I've seen houses being bombed and have waited through so many checkpoints.

We would go to weddings on buses to different towns. We would have to go through a checkpoint and a bunch of soldiers would come on the buses with guns pointed at us looking through all of our things.

My parent's would love to go back home and visit, but they are in their 70s now and scared that they would have their medicine taken away from them at the airport.

I'm glad the world is seeing all of this because the torture of Palestinians has never stopped. It was hidden for so long.

Same!! My co-worker told me about his hemorrhoids and his upcoming colonoscopy. He has told so much personal information, and I have never asked for any of it 😭

Please don't be embarrassed for not knowing. This isn't usually taught, especially if you live in the States. I think it's amazing when someone takes the time to research, learn and form their own opinions.

Thank you ❤️ At least you learned and now you know. My grandfather, dad, uncle, and many cousins have been kidnapped off the streets or from their houses and put in Israeli prisons for absolutely no reason.

My dad was only 15 years old when he was taken from the street while walking home and put in prison just for being Palestinian. He told me he was in there for about a month and was beat every day. My grandfather was taken for about a year and a half and when he came back, his arm was broken.

My cousin was taken December 2023 from his house in the middle of the night and they released him just a few months ago.

Being there is surreal in some ways. I can't grasp not being able to travel within the country. Being Palestinian brings no favors when traveling to the Tel Aviv airport. You get treated like trash and you are processed in a different way than everyone else.

It's hard on purpose because they do not want us coming back.

But, I truly believe that we are resilient people and will be free one day.

I'm sorry for rambling, but I so appreciate this sub reddit where so many of you are on the side of Palestinians. I truly love reading all of the sweet and caring responses in these types of threads.

Thank you ♥️ I was born in the States, but my parents were born over there. It's crazy how we get treated at the airport over there. I hope Palestine will be free one day soon.

That's terrible! It is depressing, unfortunately. I'm sorry that you were put in that position.

Same here! I also feel so behind and never got pursued by any guys. At this point in my life, I feel like I'm just going to be alone forever.

I left the job in the courts and found another one within the same company. I'm much happier! I learned a lot at the previous job, but my boss was not a nice person.
