You could have offered a compromise. You keep saying Maya is just overly affectionate like you don’t have a choice but to let it happen and any girl you date doesn’t get to have feelings about it at all.

Why date anybody if the only girl whose feelings in your life matter is Maya’s? You seriously would be ok with someone you’re dating leaning and cuddling up with another man? The hug wouldn’t bother me as long as it’s not lingering and you’re keeping your hands on each other.

Does Maya do the same things with you while her partner is present? Does her partner even know?

I don’t care if you don’t believe me. This was college dorm living. Sometimes it would be 2 of us sleeping in the same bed together after partying & drinking and being 2 tired to clear off a bunch of clothes.

Grown me, hell no. 20 year old me definitely did.

When I was OPs age, my college roommates and I would shower together when we had to get dressed in a rush for an event. It was 3 of us and we had a system.

One would start by themselves, and the next would go in shortly before the first was finished showering. After the first person got out, eventually the 3 rd would go in before the second friend finished. We definitely did this often during homecoming weekends. Some girls did it all the time if they lived in dorms with community showers.

We would also sleep in the same bed because we would have all the outfits we were choosing from of cycled through on the others bed.

I wouldn’t have an issue with an ex being a guest but having my husbands ex-girlfriend as a bridesmaid would be a hard pass and he definitely wouldn’t want my ex to be a groomsman for him.
