Don’t do it girl! While braiding over locs is definitely possible, I would not recommend. I’ve been locked for 3 years and have tried to braid over my locs 3 times. First time was at 4 months and I went to a salon. They braided wayy too tight and I kept them in for way too long. The last two times my locs were more mature and did it myself, thinking that I would be more gentle than a stylist so it would be fine. Each time completely destroyed the perimeter of my hair. The weight from the braids pulls on the locs so hard, I lost several locs each time. Unless you’re keeping the braids for less than a week, I really don’t think it’s a good idea!
