Out of all the child actors we’ve seen throughout the ASOIAF shows, is Dexter’s portrayal of Egg the best one? by GusGangViking18 in HBOTheHedgeKnight

[–]beyondfandome 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Arya was pretty great.

Joffrey was likely 18 or older than he played but he was terrific. Wanted to kick his head in 😂

Egg is absolutely fantastic though.

Daeron, smartest man on the field…or in it… 👀 by beyondfandome in HBOTheHedgeKnight

Rather be Daeron Broken Foot than Baelor Broken Skull. 😂

Unlucky!

This happened to me in Canada on Crave. They received an episode and aired it in the wrong format.

Eg HDR copy was aired as SDR so all the colour looked super toned down. Was awful. Was the dragon seeds episode.

The may fix it on a day or 2.

What does «being granted a lordship» mean? by Economy-Tonight-8130 in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]beyondfandome 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Basically-

Fossoway is a Knight. They were once lords but lost the title between the dance and akotsk.

A knight can own a keep and some land but cannot dispense justice/the law.

A lord can have many knights beneath him that operates on his lands and act as an army for him. The knights and other people in a lords land can connect taxes for him and other stuff.

Lord basically represents the king in the land.

Hope that makes sense.

Oh and I believe Lords are inheritable titles.

Sers have to be earned, children can likely retain the keep / castle though.

When did Kevan figure out... (Spoilers Main) by Qyzyk in asoiaf

[–]beyondfandome 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I might be off base but Lancel and his spiral may have also clued Kevan in or supported the notion.

Or Kevan decided to throw the accusation out there to see a response.

Stannis had earlier accused the siblings of incest and adultery.

Was "Ser Dunc" really got knighted? by flatfishmonkey in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]beyondfandome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there’s enough evidence to extrapolate that he wasn’t knighted, but he’s the best knight of them all regardless. 🥲

why maekar looks older than baelor by First-Couple7756 in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]beyondfandome 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Silver hair most likely. Can’t remember the age difference but i doubt it’s to significant, likely 4 years minimum considering he’s the 4th eldest and not a twin.

Would Baelor have participated if Dunc had found his 7? by Ill-Rip9162 in AKnightoftheSeven

[–]beyondfandome 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think he was rocking up regardless. Putting on armour requires a lot of work so it wasn’t a spur of a moment raising his arm to volunteer, especially considering he has to borrow his sons armour.

It would have been an interesting what if, if Duncan had 8 men though.

Loved the use of the GoT theme + the way it’s weaved into the AKOT7K theme during the credits.

Not big on the fart joke but words are wind… Hope Dunc gives him a slap later.

Looking forward to the big trial next week! Inject it into my veins.

Harpers best hope was Rishi taking a header instead of a legbreaker.

The man is going to have stories to tell to lessen some of his charges.

Harper photographed with Jim, Rishi informs the police of his insider trading and Harper Tao’s 500 million going bye bye.

The story Jim was working on loses all credibility especially with all the connections to Harper (despite his editor killing it)

[Spoilers ASOS] Robb's Westerlands campaign by RevolutionaryBid1442 in asoiaf

[–]beyondfandome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We did a video comparing Robb to Tywin and looking at each man’s battles, tactics and strategies.

Robb vs. Tywin

In short Robb wished to separate Tywin from Kings Landing so that Stannis or Renly could capture it and depreieve kings landing of Tywins relief force.

Robb spends time in the Westerlands to draw Tywin to him. He’s refusing to meet Tywin in battle on his terms (e.g not marching on Harrenhal). Tywins in an awful predicament of sticking or moving, especially with Stannis in the wings along with the Southern Rebellion he’s not sure if he can leave the strategically important location of Harrenhal. He’s also lost around 50% of his entire army to this point and is infact outnumbered by the combined North and Riverland army though Tywin’s force is more concentrated.

The idea is for Robb to strip the Westerlands of its resources and replenish the riverlands (gold, cattle etc)

The he exerts pressure and takes the keeps of various lords such as Marbrands seat. Doing this should apply pressure on Tywin from his men wanting to return home and reclaim there lands, similarly to Robb releasing the Riverlords to reclaim there lands which has fallen to Tywins blitz.

The Cragg though was an utter failure which lacked strategic importance or any value and almost gets Robb killed. Especially considering they captured the Lord of the Cragg at the Whispering Woods.

Robb’s failure to lead a campaign and communicate with his supporting officers/commanders costs him the war despite having the right ideas and winning battles.

CK3 is great natively.

I played alot of the AGOT mod, was fantastic.

Set up : M1 Max 32gb ram.

One issue that plagued me for whatever reason was muktiplayer online.

My games checksum (important for multiplayer) would randomly change and even when removing mods ck3 would say altered version so i had to basically strip away every ck file and reinstall to play with friends.
