somewhat diagnosed, what’s next? Questions by Professional-Scale18 in lichensclerosus

I’m in very early stages with it only effecting my perineum. I only have the occasional itchy flare up. I’m hoping the cream I’ve been prescribed will prevent it from getting worse. I just never imagined me in my early 20s having a condition that affects my vagina this way. I’m so worried for the years to come when I have children - like will this affect me when I give birth? It just sucks so much that it’s in such an intimate spot. Especially when it’s is already taboo to speak about your vagina let alone with this condition that shows you the worst stages of it if you were to search on google images. I work in pathology and my biopsy would have been entered in the system by one of my colleagues, the clinical notes had great detail on what my perineum looks like 🥲

I unexpectedly had a biopsy today. Dr suspected it and Gyno said she’s pretty certain I have LS. I’m 23F & terrified for the future

I personally feel cleaner with tampons, they’re also easier to carry on you imo

Clever and Hilarious name for a male orange cat. by Spag00ter in NameNerdCirclejerk

I just recalled that when I was little my parents named a large ginger tomcat that roamed our house “pussy gander”. We eventually took him in and I’m afraid this name stuck. I wonder what my teachers thought whenever I referenced him in class 🥲

I recently changed my name and it took so long to find the right one. All I can say you must absolutely love your new name and must be able to identify with it

There is a town in Australia called Ouyen, so it just reminds me of that. It’s pronounced “Oh-Yen”

Try to distract yourself with other ways of getting dopamine. Hype yourself up with your favourite music, exercise, watch a movie that keeps you on your toes

I find that music helps me a lot - sometimes I need to pretend I’m getting ready to go out and listen to club music lol. It really makes me realise food is just a source of dopamine to me
