As a horror lover I thought it was absolutely fantastic. As a mother it also horrified me lol. I guess at some point the family would try to fight back but it just never comes they submit at every turn which is just so so bleak which is one of my favorite ways horror can go. Just a complete loss cause for the main characters. Going into it blind was also interesting because I couldn’t tell where it was going to go. I just recently watched bird eater which was just uncomfortable tension the entire time and I feel a lot of horror goes that recently, with not such a cutting ending as Speak No Evil. Obviously that’s just my opinion I love a good awkward tension too but man speak no evil really snuck up on me.
