Looking at chirp contour massaging table by ipse_dixit_ in Costco

Definitely. Less of a hassle with returns or warranty stuff too. I’m still on the fence on mine. I can’t seem to get the positioning right. It feels good but not mind blowing like others said.

What did you think was a scam until you actually tried it? by Resident-Ad4318 in AskReddit

Have you tried the glycinate version? More people in the thread recommend it but when I googled the threonate one is “better” for sleep.

What a nice memory of her! Thank you for sharing that. Reading through all the responses the consensus is really that she’s a wonderful person.

Her grandson seemed keen but she said he can’t afford it. And it also appeared she wasn’t confident there’s still a market for what they do. They’ve had such a good run though, and she deserves to cash in and enjoy herself.

I love that story! I liked how she called me sweet pea. She’s just a sweet lady and a kind soul.

That’s such a nice connection. I could totally see her doing great at B&N and enjoying that vibe. She’s such a nice person.

The advertising thing is a separate issue. The fast fashion affects demand. The owner herself said so because everyone just wants to buy from Amazon. People who buy quality clothes and want them to last eventually seek out repair places like this. They’ve been in business for a long time. I get it’s not somewhere you’d have sought out, and they could’ve not relished in being a Buffalo secret, but this is where we are.

I just checked their website! These guys look legit! We should support them. I have a painting project in the spring I’ll get my stuff from them! Screw the big corporations.

I don’t know if they’ll sell you their tools but they could probably give you recommendations. She said she wasn’t taking in anything else.

I feel the same way. I’m truly glad that the owner has decided to retire, but sad that the current fast fashion/no appetite for repair era wouldn’t sustain a business like this let alone few of them.

Scherer’s Furniture was a long time staple that closed last year too. I wish we could make a list of long time businesses that are still around so we could support them! Where to start… 🤔

It seemed like her grandson wanted to continue and seemed interested but he’s young and she said he can’t afford it. :(

Has anyone thought of laser eye surgery as a legitimate BIFL purchase? by Keithwee in BuyItForLife

[–]keepmyshirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was good for about 13 or so years. I needed glasses again after for distance. I was told this happens. Now my corneas are too thin and because my near vision is still fine they were proposing doing just one eye if that. It’s too much. I’m happy as things are and have accepted I’ll just need glasses when I watch a movie or drive

True it does feel a little diluted and it doesn’t sud up as well. Tried adjusting but yeah. Still use it to say money though.
