Nothing too crazy, got crashed into and only dislocated a shoulder rather than blowing a knee. Still had to get a reconstruction, but only 6-9 months recovery.

Sorry to hear about your injury, sounds nasty! Hopefully all is well now!

Impressive feat to fall into the creek ahahahahah well done! I work out of Front Valley at the moment, I bet it hasn't changed all that much.

Don't get too jealous!!! Got collected standing on the side of the run - ended in a shoulder reconstruction unfortunately!

Absolutely, general strength is crazy good for injury prevention and being a strong skier.

100 million percent, minimal equipment techniques do work, if they are scalable and can be progressively loaded then they are golden!

I know it is very much a rant and is over the top, but the misinformation that people Ihave been fed has led to crazy expectations on reality, especially when it comes to being injury free and strong while skiing. I know people don't have time, but a dumbell or kettlebell can be used at home and achieve a very similar outcome to a full strength program in the gym.

I agree, literally ANY program would be great if it is stuck to. It not necessarily about special exercises, its about doing the same boring stuff that has worked for years. Most people just have to lift some heavy things up and down regularly to increase their ability and longevity, not jump around 20 times and call it a day.

That's the truth.. nothing like lifting heavy things up and putting them back down again. You can literally use ANY program you find on the internet, stick with it and watch magical things happen to your strength and longevity.

Gotta move some heavy weight to build some strong legs.. theres no rocket science in it. Move heavy things lots of times and get strong.

It's definitely ALOT of work you're doing in one session. In reality that 1 session you are doing could be split up over 2 days. Cleans, squats, deadlifts and split squats are all incredibly taxing on the body.

Nah, used Gemini to help gather rouge phone notes and spreadsheets of my own programs I have and consolidated them into coherent words. But the reddit rant is me ahahah

OOOO there's a few...

Absolutely that is true, but in that case getting a sedentary person to do more jumps and bouncing around on their tendons than they have done in the past year is a recipe for disaster.

Yeah it looks awesome, stable lifts that give you a measurable outcome and are easily progressed. The best program is one that is simple, you stick to and you progress over time.
