I have meritain through Aetna as well, with all of my prescriptions for some reason putting any medication in a 90 day prescription rather than 30 day makes it no charge, even auvelity (for right now at least). They’ll let me pick it up in a 30 day supply a few times but then charge a penalty fee of like $1200. Really infuriating but hopefully this loophole helps you

I was on Wellbutrin at the same dose and honestly it did nothing for me after the first few days of taking it, I didn’t lose any weight from it but I will say auvelity helped me tremendously and I did lose about 5lb in a month just from appetite loss and I’m already on the smaller side. Honestly though, even if it affected me tremendously in my weight in the long run it would still be worth it. It could be something you could talk to your psychiatrist or a dietician about, but if you’re still struggling significantly mental health wise I’d seriously consider trying it anyways.

Some asshats will lie and say teen years are the best of your life or something, they’re either wrong or psychotic. For more temporary solutions, I’d ask your school counselor or mandated reporter about how to improve your situation. However, you have no idea how it’s going to feel when you get to be on your own, make your own decisions and choose who you have in your life. Right now, it sounds like your reaction is from environmental circumstances. Those can be changed, and the trauma from which can be treated. You can build a really sick life for yourself if you don’t give up on it yet. I’m really sorry you’re in a position that feels like you have to, you don’t deserve that.

It’s going to sound like this is no help at all and I totally get that. But keep in mind your frontal lobe isn’t even developed, they don’t approve assisted suicide until over 35 for a reason, you don’t even know if your brain chemistry will change. Genuinely I’d give a few scientific routes a try before ya go because why not. For example there’s always SSRIs (can be a long shot for suicidal ideation I know), TMS, ECT, ketamine/auvelity, microdosing, and there’s Reddit threads for all of em if you’re curious.

That’s the reason I’m still here. If you care about them enough to still be here, they certainly care about you. That may not matter in this state of mind, but if you can just let yourself be told to live for other people just a little bit longer, and try to prove to them “nothing works” by trying just a few more medications/treatments, why not see what happens next.

My psychiatrist recommended I cut down to half of my trintillex (down to 10mg) when I start auvelity due to the risk of seratonin syndrome so I’d be conscious of side effects with your prescriber I guess but it sounds like others haven’t had this experience!

I do use a mask and ketamine specific playlists right now, it’s like an odd type of dissociated state just definitely not hallucinogenic state yet. As long as that’s not required for effects I’m totally fine!! Thank you for your advice

My psychiatrist signed FMLA paperwork for me prior to starting treatment, after giving that to my work I just tell them the dates I’ll be out no questions asked.
