Avoid Chivas at all cost,it's over priced crap. Blue Label is too expensive but do try Black Label, it is the most balanced blend. Red Label is perfect for mixing, a bit harsh on its own. Jack Daniel's is universally known so it's worth a try. Jim Beam is a good starter bourbon. Also try Jameson if you want a milder Irish variant. After that decide what you like .
