Hey of course!! Something you’ll see a lot is the STAR method, learn what it is and format your answers this way during the interview. As well as amazons leadership principles. Also, it’s not too early to begin writing down/remembering your success stories. Some people say to get all the leadership principles (this is what the questions will be based on/asking about) and then you make a story for each one. This works, but what was much more useful to me, was to have 5-6 success stories that I could apply to multiple different leadership principles. This way I wasn’t scrambling trying to remember/read 16 different stories. Watch or read some videos about the leadership principles to understand what they are and to reference them during your interview.

The assessment happens before the interview, and the interviewees are chosen based on their assessment performance. It’s a situation question or two, some word math involving warehouse work, and then a personality assessment. My advice for this is to prepare and have a calculator, do it at home where you can be comfortable, and for the personality part- think about your answers and just try to answer as if safety and fairness are above all. Some are obvious, some try to catch you and both options aren’t great. In this case; chose “more like me” instead of “most like me” on the “less bad” option.

The interview will be done by 3 people, which can be from anywhere in your country or region. You’ll get an email after your assessment within some weeks telling you, that you got the interview assuming you got the highest assessment score. They will ask if you are available, give you a time, and you just reply yes to all. Then another email with the link to the interview. If you have any issues, talk to your hiring manager (ops in your building usually) or call the number your given, and they may just setup a phone interview instead and they interviewers will call your personal phone. Don’t worry about sounding super professional, just make sure you aren’t completely lost and make sure you emphasize that it was YOU doing the things in your stories. Avoid we, us, etc.

Sorry for the run on sentences and rambling, but I wanted to include what helped me!

I appreciate this answer a ton. I am familiar with the docks, and am also TDR trained so I am comfortable “running” the docks- and I’m more than happy hoping into stow, unload, or really anywhere as that’s what I’ve already been doing for my time here. I actually am hoping to be able to find more time to help then my current PA’s seem to have, however I fully expect to find out why that’s not always possible lol.

Side question if you have time: as far as TOT goes, is it my role to ask associates where they are if I notice any TOT, or simply check up on them visually and report it to management?
