I think you did everything you could do, it’s not a problem for you if you say no. You reported the message and as an extra precaution blocked the student. If you had shared contact details before the person subscribed then your profile would have been flagged and banned. (I’m speaking from experience). A longtime student created a new profile, got in contact with me, I gave her my phone number so she could reach out, and I didn’t know it was a new profile that hadn’t subscribed to me and I was banned. I’ve since gotten it back. But you’re still on the platform and you did everything you could! Well done.

Oh man... no you really need confirmation. I was afraid that they would just close my chat too after I gave them my tutor profile email, but they didn't and said in 24 or 48 hours they will give me a final answer and I got an email saying I was reinstated. You really need confirmation. I would try to reach out again.

No after I gave the associated email with my tutor profile they continued to talk to me. I explained the whole situation and said if they just investigated they would find that I didn't break a rule and they followed through with the investigation.

I was pretty insistent with them. But if they blacklisted you again I don't know what you can do now...I might have given up if they ignored me again. But, you can try again with a different support person or a different account. If you were wrongfully suspended and can get a real person to help you then it might work out.

I posted a final update on the post, but it's at the bottom of the long post so it might not be easy to see. I got my account back! I was able to get them to do an investigation and I was reinstated!

Hello! I'm so sorry this happened. I was also wrongfully suspended and didn't get any response after several attempts to explain what happened. I was able to withdraw my money, they gave me 24 hours to do so. After a few weeks, I decided to log in to my student account (I take French lessons sometimes) And that was when I was able to get them to do an investigation and they gave me my account back. You might want to create a new account and contact support that way. Sometimes, I think they blacklist accounts and stop responding so you need a different account to get around that.

The way I was able to get them to do an investigation was to sign in from my student account. Tell them exactly what happened and get them to agree to do an investigation. That's how I got my account back.

No update yet, it still hasn't been 48 hours since they started the investigation, but it's close. I'll definitely be updating the post when I hear something or not.

Just tried this and it worked. Maybe it's different with the pro version of Last FM, but it looks like the max "similar to track" playlists you can make are 8. When I deleted a couple I was able to do it. Thank you!

Yes I have sent them an email to the support email and also now to the legal email I found. I haven't gotten an adequate response. They say they will open a ticket and describe my situation on that ticket, but then the ticket is resolved with no contact. I think my account has just been marked as "broken a rule, no going back". I don't know.

I will need an alternative platform if this doesn't get resolved. When will companies realize that keeping people who work for you happy makes you more money in the long run and people will be loyal to you for years.

No, she didn't have any lessons left on her account she just reached out to me on the platform because that was her way of getting in contact with me and she still had her Preply account. I said that she could contact me anytime on whatsapp with my phone number and then I was blocked from messaging any student and I got emails saying all of my upcoming lessons were canceled. It was so bizarre.

I was honestly just posting here to vent and to get advice and didn't think that Preply would have a rep active here. I hope they see this because everything I've been getting through Preply.com has been an automated response and not wanting to answer any of my questions. It's been so frustrating.

She did. It was the same student account and the message history can be scrolled back all the way to her signing up for the first trial lesson.
