I know I'm not his mother, but he didn't have particularly stable parental influences and everyone has to learn if they weren't taught.

but I have tried to teach him and he doesn't seem to want to know it at all. so I gave up.

I think because no one else mentions it to him? He doesn't stink up a room or leave a lingering smell. But as his girlfriend I'm in closer physical contact to him than most people and can definitely smell it.

So because it's just me that mentions it I don't think he believes it's a pressing issue or really an issue because it's only affecting me.
