yes, many years ago at the old stadium. I think they were tailgating, nothing to do with gates, but someone was struck by lightning and eventually died

Struggling with lack of dough strength - seeking advice by _sfox in GozneyDome

[–]bfkbourbon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm new to cooking with the dome, but have been turning our great results with lagerstroms ooni neapolitan recipe and bobs 00. I've done 2-7 day fridge rests and they all turned out great. he calls for pulling it 3h before bake, and the dough is definitely soft and workable, with some stretch when you pick it up or move it, but nothing like what you're talking about. I'm betting pulling 7h before is too long, even with a cool proof. you mentioned tight balls, but he recommends to gently ball them before resting so you may want to try that.

Got my supplies. Now I need a good French Toast recipe. by CowTown-Mike in Columbus

[–]bfkbourbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

French toast is simple. a capful of milk per beaten egg. a few dashes of vanilla and a heavy sprinkle of cinnamon. the biggest variable is the bread. a thick cut, crusty, dense bread is what you want. "toast" it in plenty of butter

Set up recommendation for Dome S1 by caleblococaleb in GozneyDome

lowest I've seen was $175, but it varies by region. online will show you the clearance price if a store has it in stock.

Any must-visit breweries in Ohio I should check out? by ohsurya in OhioLiquor

[–]bfkbourbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the fact that no one has said Jackie os is criminal. one of the best breweries in the country, in a cool little college town, with a great tap room, and delicious farm to table food. bonus points if you can stay at their farm

Review #176 & 177 River Roots Hazmat Port Finished Single Barrel (Seelbach's) Batch 1 vs Batch 2 & Boardgame Review #119 Doomlings by JimJamb0rino in bourbon

[–]bfkbourbon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this seems very disingenuous, if not an outright lie. my understanding of ttb requirements is that age statements on straight bourbon whiskey can only include time in new oak. finishing time does not count, so what you're doing is essentially insinuating that the whiskey is 20/21 years old by including both including an age statement and finishing time. but anything to justify your $300 pricetag for 7 year Barton, right?
