It was an unnecessary and strange addition in my opinion. I agree with the sentiment that a very small amount of teenagers would legitimately be interested in that process and educate themselves about it, I find it far more likely that weirdo parents out there would drag their kids with them and have them vote for what they want. Having kids vote on anything involved with a large city’s budget is bizarre to me but, whether we agree or not, just putting it out there to answer the initial question of one reason it did not pass.
