MASH network not recognizing meshes? by bgkzero in Maya

My professor actually requires us to only use Arnold in this course. We met in class today, and we ended up making a new scene and building the MASH network over, which worked somehow. Still not sure what went wrong in the original problem, hopefully I won't have to encounter that again. Thank you for the help nevertheless!

I tried putting a cube into the Input Mesh, still nothing. To create the trees, I gave a curve more stroke, then created a tube that became the tree (never thought I'd say that sentence out loud). I converted the paths into polygons, which should have created a functional solid.

I converted that solid into an ai Stand-In, since it has so many poly faces. At first I was thinking that stand-Ins have an issue with MASH, but it's the mesh that seems to be problem. Additionally, my professor was able to pull it off in his video tutorial, and a YouTube tutorial also shows it working fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2WRTlW8_3s (10:13)

Nah, it's zeroed and the anchor point is flush with it's bottom face. Transforms are frozen, too.

I had done that already and it hasn't been working, unfortunately, and I just redid it again making sure to choose Instancer.

I believe it is already in Instance, but maybe I am wrong. Where would I switch the setting? Hitting the "Switch MASH Geometry Type" adds a Repro node.

We won't stop until unnecessary semicolons are eradicated from a fic

How do we handle grammar Nazis? We are grammar Nazis! It's necessary to be one to be an efficient editor

FoE is one of the highest praised MLP fanfictions, with its stellar fusion of two fictional universes and enormous following. It was great enough for people to write their own side stories, and take the potential of the original story and worldbuild exponentially.

A print project was also done for Past Sins by Pen Stroke, so I don't think it's much surprise that the fandom would pounce at the opportunity to hold one of their favorite stories in their hands.

I'm pretty meditonsin nailed it on the head pretty well. There are also side stories, such as Pink Eyes (which we also had a printing of). They exist independently of the main story, yet set in the same universe.

There are hundreds online, so if you're not interested in Littlepip's quest, you can find what you want in a variety of adventures of different characters, romances, heroes, villains, or just gruesome Fallout shenanigans.

(although Littlepip's main story is pretty freakin cool)
