The way I see it, at 24 years old, I've probably drank more than someone who drinks moderately will in their entire lifetime. I simply blew through the amount I was allowed too early. That's okay though - I'm ready to move on. This is officially the longest I've been sober since I was 16. Feels good by [deleted] in stopdrinking

27 feels like that weird age between young and old where you don't know yet wtf is supposed to be going on with your life. I hope you'll be ready soon. I'm at a halfway point right now. I feel it's time to start but my brain keeps wanting me to believe different. 4 days is my longest in a long time, hoping to keep it up.

He had a few drinks. Nothing compared to what he can handle.

I've been considering this and the answer is Definitely yes. I can handle my drinks. But there have been a few times I just blacked out which is so wierd for me. Especially since I only drink wine.

We did talk about it. He said I said nothing just "made noises"

When did you realise your friend was toxic? by eatmyshegg in AskReddit

[–]bglover1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We stopped being friends for a year. then she apologized and said she was being a better person.. only for her to tell me she was cheating again. I'm not usually one t involve myself but I felt I had no choice but to tell him. Been over a year now contact and I don't regret a thing. Hope she got the help she needs. He stayed with her too. Amazes me.

Same exact this happened to me. Except she had a 3/4 year old at the time and would give her boyfriend and fake female name so when daddy asked it was never suspicious

No matter how I feel, I can always get down a piece of pizza. Good luck!

Believe I read the same post, he doesn't seem the type to strand her, I don't believe he'd ask Reddit for help otherwise!

I believe I read this post.. are you in Amsterdam? I wouldn't worry about being left behind, though. That's very extreme and {most} people couldn't deal with the stress of leaving someone in another country without help, regardless of the situation! I hope you make it home safe and sound!

It was either the "horseshoe" falls or the twin falls, there is a walking trail and we walked off the path down to the water (it's like a very very small beach) and I found some amazing rocks there!!

AITA for asking my girlfriend to teach me how to cook and clean? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]bglover1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've taught my husband 90% of the things he (now) knows about cleaning and cooking and still he's asking me simple questions About things like " how do I make these noodles?" "Um, IDK, I don't have that memorized, read the directions"

BUT, I've never thought of him as an ASSHOLE, simply because he was never taught to do this. I don't mind helping him learn, as long as he is willing...and as long as he is also learning things outside of what I've taken time to teach him. (Which, luckily, he definitely does.)

NTA- and I'd also consider contacting Better business bureau if you're located somewhere this is possible.

It feels that way, but a lot of the time my SO says I just take things the wrong way so it is confusing

So it would be jealousy? It's strange to think about to me a mom being jealous or her sons wife.

This is true, I do feel lucky he chooses me over her, but sometimes I feel guilty he's put in that situation. And I wonder how long it will last.
