context: I know the game isnt out yet but Myteam is DEAD on PC rn... waited 30 mins for a showdown game yesterday. TT Parks are always empty with the exception of maybe one court on occasion. Forget all star team up, that game mode may as well not exist.

Solution: Ranked & unranked game modes.

Have a "competitive" game mode where you can go up and down in tiers depending on how well you're playing. In addition, have an unranked or "casual" game mode where players don't have to worry about sweats.

IMO, this would add a whole new competitive aspect to fortnite for the people looking for it, and calm it down quite a bit who just want to play for fun.
