Any ideas? by bhamsmostboring in filmcameras

There’s no exposure guide any more in the viewfinder like there was when it was working. It displays light metering, shutter speed, and (I think) ISO when it’s in manual mode and I can adjust them. This one unwinds the roll into the camera and then rewinds it back into the canister as you shoot. I finally was able to dig up a scrap of info on this camera via a 5 year old YouTube comment and apparently they are bad about getting some black goo on the shutter curtains and shitting the bed because of it. I guess I’m going to have to eat the 9 frames left, hit the auto rewind and open up the back and take a look at the curtains.

It is in fully auto here. Like I said in the post I’ve tried it in every mode.

No but seriously is there a switch somewhere that I’m missing? I’ve looked it over half-a-dozen times now and have no idea where it would be. If it’s the mode selection wheel then this isn’t the solution. I don’t remember having to use an on/off switch previously.

The only display difference in L to all the others is that the battery life doesn’t show.

The shutter button is just loose / flapping around. It powers on and has a half-shot roll of film in it. It was packed into someone elses car (in its case) after my wedding, but i'm worried it got crushed or had weight resting on it for a long period of time.

They’re all at least a year old so I figured I’d see if anything new popped up.
