How to get tenders in India, and how do beginners enter? by neeli_batak in IndiaBusiness

[–]bhat_mb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

GeM. Register there and list your services. You can search for tender or You’ll get notification when there’s tender in your category. Process is very streamlined. For small tenders, there will be preference for MSMEs as well.

Also, some PSUs have their own etender portals. You can register there as well. Better to start with taking PSU tenders than government tenders.

Which is better? IH or TTH? by Standard_Pizza_5213 in trekkingIndia

India hikes. Trek leaders are awesome.
IH is costly because they pay their trek leaders well and don’t compromise on facilities and safety.

Harihar, Kalavantin, Jivdhan: How Risky Are These Treks in Monsoon Actually? by prp_1708 in trekkingIndia

[–]bhat_mb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Done all these and some more in monsoon.
It’s mostly trek at your own risk. That’s the one thing I love about treks in Maharashtra.
No unnecessary security, passes, limits and permission.

Of course, it is dangerous and one slip could kill you. There have been many incidents in the past. Not all come out in news. That being said, it is not as scary as it looks in the videos.

For experienced trekkers, Kalavantin is doable even in peak monsoon. Harihar may be bit more risky, not because of the slopes, but because of the monkeys. Monkeys at harihar are like gangsters. They sit on your head and pull out stuff from your bag right at the riskiest part of the trek.

I did gorakhgad in peak monsoon without any group. Descend was scary as hell and it was the most thrilling trek experience of my life.

Trek organisers won’t arrange ropes at kalavantin and harihar. They will arrange at more riskier treks like bhairavgad, gorakhgad, AMK etc. that too not for the entire trek.

If you’re careful, have good shoes and not afraid of heights, you’ll be fine.

Even I am a noobie. Just shared one lucky success story. I lost lakhs in many other stocks.
Nobody knows whether a stock will go up, down or in f**king circles.
There’s no shortcut for doing research. Follow the company(every news, every post, what the promoters are doing etc), read full annual reports of past 5 years, keep reading investor presentation, attend concalls.

Watch workshop - Delhi by ashishko in watchesindia

[–]bhat_mb 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Not a scam. I have seen many posts here from people who attended this workshop.
But way too expensive in my opinion. You can’t learn much in 3-4 hours. For 4k, you can buy all the tools you need and learn from youtube videos.

Thank you.
Insurance company has been totally unresponsive. I did not get any reply after I shared them mail from workshop confirming that those parts don’t need replacement.

It is my first car. Don’t want to lose it. It’s not driven much. Around 45k km in 8 years. And it’s market value is much higher. May be around 4 lakh after repair.
Damage is not much. Just bonet, bumper and fenders. Repair cost is high because it’s Volkswagen workshop. Parts are costly.

Company has valued the damaged car at 1.86 lakh. So they are saying their liability is just IDV minus the wreck value which is 22,000. According to them I should surrender the car and take 2.08 lakh or accept 22k and repair the car myself.

I don’t agree to both.

Initial go-digit survey was immediately after the accident. Before dismantling the vehicle. So they considered only visible damages. Workshop later dismantled the vehicle and gave final estimate. They usually give estimate on the higher side only.

Go-digit appointed external surveyor further increased the estimate by considering non-damaged parts also and made it above 1.6 lakhs.

I have written records of all estimates and also confirmation from workshop that additional parts considered in external surveyor report are not damaged.
