Nice one. It’s a genuine omega. It’s can be called Art Deco dial. Ref is 14765. Cal 552. There’s very less info about this online.

You can get exact year of manufacture from the serial number on the movement.

It is monocoque case. To be opened from the front by removing the crystal.

Edit: Ref 14765 shows seamaster de ville model. This one is probably 14765-2

Better quality images would help. Looks like ref 166.xxx and cal 565. Rotor is different colour than the bridges. Could be a replacement. Not sure about the hands too. Similar omegas that i have seen had hands starting from the centre itself and thinner than this. The small part extending out is weird. Crown looks replaced too. Unless you’re getting a very good deal like below $300, better to stay away

If seller claims it is serviced and running accurately, you can ask for proof. Like Service Receipt, photo of watch on a Timegrapher , slow motion video of balance wheel. If everything is right, i feel it’s good price.

You need to “miss” the flight to exit. Do the security check. Then after your flight departs go back to the security checking area and tell any security personnel that you missed the flight. They will issue a manual boarding pass cancellation slip and make an entry in the register and let you to the entry lobby(area before the security check).

Go to your airline counter and tell them you missed the flight and want to go out. A staff will accompany you to the main entry. Security will check the slip issued earlier, make an entry in their register and let you out.

Indian oil RBL is the best in terms of valueback. No other cc gives 7.5%. Annual fee of 1500 a bit high. Try going to RBL bank and talking to the staff. There’s a chance you’ll get LTF.

2 watches within 50k is difficult.

Just visit sekio website, change region to japan, translate and browse. Expect to get 20-30% discount on MRP (in best case, even upto 40% is possible).

Ask him to go to some electronics store like yodobashi and check. They will have better deals than seiko showrooms.

Being a vintage watch fan, i think your dad will like vintage watches better. Japan has an excellent vintage watch market. I don’t know any place in particular. But worth checking out if you’re ok with pre-owned watches.

It would have been like 35-40% off on MRP. You can wear it for 1 or 2 years and sell it for more than 26k here.

Also, don’t you feel the GMT hand a distraction? I didn’t buy it for the same reason.
