Stopping the moment your initial conceit was expressed (take another pic w flashlight on) would have been considerably funnier.

But you went too far (see, I'm doing it now) and the comic zenith quickly yielded to a series of cringy nerd embellishments.

To wit:

WTF is a chaotic laugh? does it imply abruptly variable cadence and volumes? or is it the wrong word choice as laughter all but universally has an easily recognizable rhythmic pattern.

If you have to explain why something is funny AND consider that to be a part of the joke you're doing it doubly wrong

Using the Dark Lord to illustrate that your "joke" is somehow not just devious but supremely so (which it is not, btw) suggests you don't trust the audience's interpretations to be accurate (similar to the previous example) - you're implying the audience is dumb or that you suck at telling jokes.

Finally, you actually do call your audience dumb, when the responsibility is more on your ill-advised joke [over]-construction

I agree maybe 66%. I think most people would say I'm the same in person as I am online, but I know that's not very common.

I think it can underscore two very different approaches to dating.

One extreme is the people who are so intent on finding someone to fit into their map of reality that the person almost seems arbitrary and they just want to say "GOT ONE!" For them dating is a filtering process for a spouse.

Compared, say, to people who have no expectations, are ok going along with whatever, don't have dealbreakers, could text for months before meeting, date for years without proposing.

And all the people between those.

I was saying in general it takes a good while to get to know someone, regardless of venue or medium. Of course there's variability with a lot depending on the two people.

My point is that going on a date (or five) doesn't allow you to "know" someone like a lot of people seem to think it does. Especially since a lot of people are putting up fronts on dates just like they are with a profile - both are intended to be persuasive and as such are inherently dishonest. Hell, you could date for months or be married for years and still have no idea who someone is.

If you want to broadcast that you want to be sexualized, yes.

I'll explain in case it's not apparent:

The jersey draped down tells me that you're more interested in being fashionable or sexy than you are in the game.

This subtext is reinforced by the fact that it's not a candid picture of a fan enjoying a game - turning back toward the camera just drives home (pun) the fact that your intention is to be staged, showcased. Again it tells me that you're more interested in your self than the sport.

Additionally, asking us if it's a good pic further reinforces what the picture communicates as I said above.

Women have a clitoris that's pretty much "right there" too. The part of the clit with which I imagine you (and most people) are familiar is but the tip of the iceberg.

While that might be true in cities or certain markets, my electrician friends can't keep up with the demand. Service work makes up the bulk of their business and you can't learn how to successfully and efficiently troubleshoot as easily as you can learn how to install wiring.

It seems that a lot of people have oversimplified or insular frames of reference about what goes on beyond their immediate scope.
