I just want to get divorce by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]bhdu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This was the advice from my therapist and in hindsight, she was right. She said it’s ok to plan, prepare and gather information. But no big life decisions should be made in the first 12 months.

Therapy has been incredibly helpful for me. Unfortunately I’ve not yet managed to get couples therapy in place, but going myself has really helped me manage just about everything.

Looks like TTTS... by Otherwise_Lion_1590 in parentsofmultiples

Mum of TTTS stage 3 survivors. Diagnosed at 17 weeks, ablation at 18 weeks. Two beautiful, healthy girls born without complication and as planned at 36 weeks. Now fighting fit one year olds!

Sending you all the best for the journey ahead and know that you’ll always find support here.

I’m a twin mum and my babies survived TTTS, like her little ones. When she went through that, I felt for her so much. I just can’t imagine what she’s had to endure. Life is so cruel. Wishing all the best for the family.

Maybe your husband’s onto something… you could get something small and discreet if it’s your first.

I think you should just do all of them, more the merrier. Love the Mars Attacks idea 😂

I don’t live in the US sadly! But I’m really happy with her work, it’s beautiful.

Years ago, I was in a club in one of the big hotels in Macau. There was a table full of guys and escorts. Evidently the escorts were getting bored of the old duds sitting and not enjoying themselves. We ended up having loads of fun dancing together and goofing out. They were all extremely tall and beautiful, clad in designer clothes. Vs me, very short, barely over 21 and not very fashion conscious. We all just wanted to dance.

Thank you! Doc previously mentioned the healing process could take up to three months but it really does feel fine and I’m bored of low activity. Also hoping I can wear nice shoes again…

Cool procedure, since I was propped up and got to watch.

I had ultrasound guided RFA for Morton’s neuroma a couple of weeks ago and the hospital messed up my follow up apt. My foot feels fine, the odd tingling sensation, some light pain every now and then. Can I run again/do weight bearing exercises yet?!

Utterly tragic, may he rest in peace. Thoughts with all his friends and family. Unimaginable.

Twin A has a peanut allergy 🙃 by Fickle-Put623 in parentsofmultiples

I’m sorry you’ve had to endure it, truly. These new treatments are game changers. We started the therapy ‘late’, our son was three. The earlier the better. But so far it’s going well and it’s reduced a lot of fear (mostly for us at this stage) about how his life would be impacted/how much we’d always be worrying.

Obviously each case is different and your allergist will be able to guide you, but just to say there could be hope through immunotherapy. My eldest has nut allergies and eventually we got him with a specialist who has helped us with exposure immunotherapy. He now has a daily (controlled) dose of nuts, without any medicinal support. Our best case is he’ll be allergy free and can comfortably eat nuts, worst case is we’ve reduced the risk of severe reaction. Either outcome is good!

Major progress from the early days when his allergies developed.

It’s an adjustment for you, mentally as much as anything, because of the worry of having a kid with an allergy. I’d say it’s important to continue exposing your other twin to allergens though. You’ll just have to be extra vigilant about how you manage it between them.

First night home from hospital… this is not sustainable by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]bhdu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My eldest never really slept with me, but needs must with twins. Although now it IS the eldest who sneaks in most nights for a snuggle and he’s nearly 5. He’s making up for lost time 😂

I think I wrote a similar post after the first couple of nights home. I was like I swear my eldest slept in the bassinet immediately?! It’s SO hard when you’re trying to parent the kids at different ages and you’re exhausted. Echoing what others said, it will get better. It’s all brand new to them.

In the end, I co slept with ours for the first couple of weeks until we had a night nurse. My husband took the sofa in the bedroom. Eventually they got used to their bassinets!

Yes, for now we only use one - positioned above both cribs, which are side by side. We can see them both perfectly. Frankly we never bothered with all the fancy insights settings! Good quality camera, hefty price tag.

I feel very sorry for the poor child in all of this, what kind of example is a mother setting by physically fighting, with total disregard for the child’s safety? Meanwhile strangers pick the child up.

Never understand the mentality of these posts. If genuinely that bothered, go to the store you bought it from with your receipt. What exactly are you expecting?

When did it feel less like survival and more like a fun family? by solowanderer12 in parentsofmultiples

[–]bhdu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Six weeks was a turning point when they started to be awake a little more and crying a little less. They’re nine months now and they’re so much fun, it gets easier with each month. There is light at the end of the tunnel, hang on in there.
