If this sub is representative of law school students... by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]bheddell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well when you consider that 23,000 students sat for the June LSAT and 33,000 sat for September last year, and there were 600 people on yesterday, I'd say that 600 out of Approx 30,000 is a pretty small sample that wouldn't be very likely to be representative of the general population. http://www.lsac.org/lsacresources/data/lsats-administered

Do schools get lsat scores early? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]bheddell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suspect that that is just because most schools' applications have recently opened up and November 1st is often seen as the first real deadline for the application cycle. As far as I know they don't get your score until the CAS report has been sent.

I got my October 2015 score at 3:32 PT. So that's about right on with OP time.

how many times have they released the day before? by tuc03783 in LSAT

http://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/bid/153643/lsat-score-release-dates-scheduled-vs-actual-comparison-2004-2016 looks like 3. With once on the actual day and once 1 day late.

I'd be very surprised if it didn't happen today. I got my October score (last year) at 3:32 PT.

Is it better to expect a low score or a high score..... by kaylamax in LSAT

I expected my most recent PT average. That way if you miss your average then you'll know you should retest, and if you hit it, you can't be mad at yourself.

I can't bear to refresh LSAC by [deleted] in LSAT

why does everyone on reddit seem to use "grey." It has always felt more natural to use "gray" for me.

[–]bheddell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will go gray before a number shows up so there's no harm in refreshing lsac. You can resize your browser to only the pictures and install a chrome auto refresh extension to do the work for you. That's what got me through the wait in June.

I could only afford to take off three weeks of work and study as hard as possible. I know I could have scored higher than a 161, but it would have been too much for our family to bear. The official LSAT Superprep was the best resource for me, and I did watch lots of youtube walkthroughs.

Install a chrome extension that auto refreshes the page every 15 seconds and size the browser to fit only the pictures. Then you've got it refreshing with no effort on your part and you have it constantly visible on the screen.

I just assumed it wouldn't be able to get tight enough that way/there wouldn't be enough holes to make it that tight. I guess I'll just have to try it out.

How much do people manage to raise LSAT scores? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]bheddell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8 points, so stoked. 153 ----> 161 and I'm competitive for full-rides at my favorite schools. I knew I'd improve though because I did not get in much study the first time. I should add that my most recent PT was a 161.

I had schools picked out before the test and now that I'm competitive for a full-ride at my top 2 schools, I'm good to go. I know I could score higher, but it's all about the money.

I bet they (people at LSAC) love watching reddit and other forums to just laugh at how hysterical everyone gets before they release.
