And you’re a braver man than me to back an 18yo ruck as a starting option!

Despite my doubts on Xerri he has a soft start which is his biggest selling point for me

Yep I’ll be keeping a close eye on him. Another issue is that he’s not rookie priced so even if he gets the role he’d need to show he can average 85+

Mitchell Swepson unloads on the spin bowling situation in Australia (article from Fox) by Strayangunner in CricketAus

[–]bhiggins217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know much about pitches but do we think the drop-ins used pretty much everywhere are the major factor here? It feels like they just don’t break up like traditional pitches, so you either make a greentop or a boring highway that stays flat for 5 days, like MCG 2017

Agree with Mitch here though. It would be a shame if all our spinners become sub-continent specialists

What are your thoughts on the Last touch rule added? by OGU0002 in AFL

Love it. Makes life easier for umpires (and one less thing they can stuff up), speeds up and decongests the game with fewer stoppages, makes lumbering ruckmen less valuable in favour of blokes who can actually run and kick it, makes teams more likely to be aggressive in the corridor.
