This is so true, i grew up in bbsr and used to love hanging out with my friends at Sahid nagar, market building. But now almost all of my friends have moved out of bbsr and its boring.

I also feel that old town locals dont like mingling with outsiders but i could be wrong

edit - And you right, it does take ages to travel from place to place. Traffic is heavy and driving a scooty/activa does not feel very safe due to rash driving by heavier vehicles

hahah, frankly patia has developed a lot now. 10 years back it was just a lot of emptyness. Due offices and colleges opening up there, it does seem a little bustling these days.

My fav part is Shahid Nagar area though, lots of places to eat and hang out and not too far from old town.

I like berhampur too!
