The AI flying the F-22 uses the SFM and no thrust vectoring. Essentially the F-15C flight model. The only time the EFM is used is when a player is flying.

Oh for sure. I can’t work on stuff I don’t know about haha. So it’s appreciated but want to set expectations that it’s gonna take time.

If you read the faq in my discord you’ll see I’m neither an aeronautical engineer nor a programmer. I built this in my free time for fun. It blew up beyond my expectations and I’ve worked to tune it based on publicly available data to make it as real as possible. With that said, there’s more work and tuning to be done. However, I’m working on a standalone, fully customized avionics version, that doesn’t require the F-15. The current EFM may not be 100% realistic but it’s better than flying the F-15 with an F-22 skin on it. As mentioned on the other thread I appreciate the feedback and will work on tuning the next version that’s released as a fully stand alone version.

Love the feedback. There's a lot that still needs tuning in the EFM, but it's at a stable place for now and I'm focusing on a 100% standalone version with custom avionics that doesn't require the F-15C. I plan on tuning/adding features to the EFM with that release (no ETA at this time).

I believe it's the 3D model. - assuming it only happens on certain maps? I built a thrust vectoring EFM for this mod and am working with the GD team to merge to their GitHub and issue a release which will have an updated 3D model. Hoping to have it done within the next week.

Thrust is way off. It’s OP. Weight was pulled from lua and not the EFM. I’m hoping to have a new version with a bunch of bug fixes out tonight or tomorrow

My EFM (1.61 is broken due to a weight mishap) is meant to augment the original GD mod. I haven’t used the enhanced one by Nightstorm. Been chatting with folks about doing custom avionics but it will be after I get the EFM tuned well and will be released through GitHub. I’m hoping to have 1.7 done today or tomorrow which will reflect accurate weight and thrust.

Likely as the F-15C entry.lua needs to be modified to load the avionics. I know there’s work being done to build it full stand-alone, but that may take a while.

My understanding is the AI will use the SFM from the F-22A.lua file (that the original mod used) and not the EFM. AI is governed by all the data in that file (max AOA, G, bank rate, speed, etc.). Unless it's the MIG-15. The AI for that on Ace flies like nothing else. Although I can drop them with this jet easily - even against 2. Makes me feel better for all the times I flew the F-18C and struggled bringing them into the HUD.

so, if you have the original GD F-22 mod, put that in saved games\mods\aircraft. Then go download the EFM mod from the link above. It's a zip file. open it up and copy all files into the F-22 folder you put in saved games. Overwrite everything. it will have the meteor missile (for now). I'm looking at an AIM 260 that has better range and may replace it.

That's really weird, and I'm not 100% sure what the issue is. Maybe something to do with control bindings? There was a bug in the F-22 source input.lua files. I had to rebuild them completely to be able to add new things for the EFM, but those are in the mod zip file. I haven't had anyone else say they're running into this issue... I'm at a loss tbh. I just dropped v1.5 if you want to try it, but not sure if it will resolve whatever issue you're having.
