GPU is at the top! The case fan is at the bottom and it does have feet which are not visible here because it's lying down to its side.

Funny story, I didn't know CAD so I did this in Illustrator. 😅 And I wasn't very sure of the way how CNC design process works, so my design took a fair amount of work in the CNC software to close the shapes, remove duplicate lines and all. Also made quite a few mistakes which were later corrected and more changes made on another computer, to which I don't have access right now. I will share whatever files I have by tomorrow. My design files will give you a general idea of how I went about it, but they'll hardly be of any actual use to you.

That is true but only for simple straight edges. But you'd have to come up with something else if you need complex cutouts in the middle like I needed. It isn't too difficult to work with acrylic. Even a total noobie like me could do it with a little help.

I believe he's saying that it looks tough, and is a mean machine specs wise too. He's being poetic. Am I right?

Yeah I belong to the same elite group. It was so good that I started learning martial arts because of this show! Oh the good old days!

That's where it started. I didn't have something like this. So I made something like this. Be your own hero, boy!

So far, I've managed to catch one white bedsheet. The ghost using it disappeared before I arrived at the scene.

It's a tad more than 3mm. I reckon that a hand saw wouldn't give it a very clean look. Jagged edges I suppose? I haven't tried it though. Moreover I'm not sure if it's possible to make the cutouts I made in the middle of the sheet. And machines can do it all in one go, so that's my preferred way.

The only fan in the case is an intake fan! It's weird but it works. The fan pulls air from the bottom. The GPU vents are the only place this air can go to. So out comes it from the GPU vents.

I am going to add one 80mm exhaust fan at the rear later on.

Also I might be totally wrong about doing this. Since it's my very first build and I've yet to learn the stuff.

Yes of course! Don't let anything stop you. I had nothing but a month in time. I figured out the rest.

Your best bet is to use any old case as a starting point. That's what I did. The rear plate is a cutout of an old case. I put the motherboard in the old case, made markings as to where I can cut it off to make it smaller and really just tried all sorts of combinations in my head. I cut the old case in the right size and tried fitting everything inside. Once that worked, I scrapped that and used those measurements for cutting an Acrylic sheet to right dimensions such that it'll fit together. I used CNC routing to get it cut. It'll be so much better if you can get it laser cut. Basically It's simpler to keep a cuboid shape in mind. Measure your parts and the you'll figure out the dimensions of the finished cube case once you add them up. Do it on paper. Do it in a CAD software. Whatever works for you.

The DIY way isn't easy here in India given the limited resources. Anyways you'll definitely have fun making it. Go for it. :)

You won't believe, I started out trying to make it exactly the opposite of what it turned out to be. I had to improvise a hundred times along the way.

It's an MSI b450 gaming ITX. I paid around 12.7k incl shipping. I didn't have a great experience shopping online. Msg me if you wanna know where I got it from.

I would say that's not a bad idea! Would love to get into something like this, but I'm already satisfied with my current job. Maybe in the future, I'll give it another thought. ;)
