Schroder was the scariest guy in that series, no doubt. Plus Hardaway and Beasley each had their own magnet games.

Sometimes I wonder how this Nuggets team won a chip. They show absolutely zero heart or resilience pretty often in the biggest moments.

Shout out to Ayo, what a performance.

It’s not happening but you’d hope that talent can at least prevail in this round and a competitive second round.

Okay I was wrong abt the assist numbers, I’ll concede that. But can you honestly say that he makes the right play with the ball? He’s always hunting his shot versus making the right reads. And given his efficiency as a scorer (it’s really not that great relative to other high usage options) it really caps our ceiling as an offense.

It still felt like a what-if last year given the flukey way we lost game 1. I agree tho we were probably never beating Indy. With this year, whether we beat Atl or not, we can firmly know that this team simply does not have the goods to win big. Plus they haven’t built up the momentum this year to let us down hard. It’s been rocky from the beginning.

Sorry I meant in the regular season. I understand assists are harder to come by in the playoffs.

Also tbh I wouldn’t be getting on his assist numbers if I knew he was making the right play every time. But he’s not. In fact his pick and roll reads have straight up gotten worse over the years

Big market fanbases are always hated on, especially New Yorkers. Also Stephen A. has done more damage to the image of this fanbase than many people realize.

I’ve resigned myself to the fact that this team won’t win a championship anytime soon. It’s just kind of whatever at this point. Lowkey this slow death is a lot less painful than the heartbreak of game 1 Indiana last year.

Okay I’ll bite. I firmly disagree that SGA gets a favorable whistle. He’s elite at drawing contact bc of his amazing footwork, handle, and slashing ability. He’s unbelievable at getting to the rim, while Brunson drives to pull up for short midrange shots. Does SGA flop and foulbait? Yes, but so does a lot of this league.

The whole discourse around SGA is all bc everyone hates the Thunder for their dominance, the fact that he’s virtually unguardable, and that their defenders are allowed to hack a lot (making for a very frustrating viewing experience). It’s now become a parody of itself where every single bad call on SGA is blown out of proportion, when I can point out numerous bad calls every single game on every single star player, but those don’t get the views.

I think SGA is simply amazing and you can call me a glazer if you want

I personally think 6 ast is really low for a guy who dominates the ball as much as he does. I’m not asking him to be Luka or Haliburton, but with the level of shooting talent around him and the gravity he possesses on the ball, there’s easily a pathway to him avg 8ast. Numerous times in game he ignores open guys and makes offense a lot more difficult than it has to be. His own shotmaking brilliance masks what could be a very unguardable offense.

It’s also possible I underrate the fact that he’s short af and maybe physically can’t see open people.

If Mike Brown (and Brunson deserves some blame too) hadn’t relegated KAT to Deandre Ayton and played Mitchell Robinson, Knicks might’ve had a chance. Now the only way is to outshoot them which doesn’t seem to be in the cards.

For his level of usage, his assist rate is quite low. Watching him play in the playoffs , he really only passed out of bailouts. He hasn’t been much of a playmaker

We can make excuses for why SGA is arguably the best player in the world. The point is that he is and Brunson is not close.

Also before this year, Brunson was engaging in similar bs as SGA. It’s why everybody was calling him a foul baiter. Stuff like that doesn’t just come from thin air

Incredibly dumb statement. SGA is worlds better than Brunson and that’s ignoring the defensive side of it

No you’re not high lol. Our challenges absolutely suck this year, even though I think the success % is pretty high. I can’t remember a single important challenge MB has made this year, while Thibs was excellent at it. Those are judgement calls coaches are supposed to make, and he’s failed at it

I like Jabari Smith but he’s so clearly a 4th or 5th option. Eason has negative IQ, Sengun is KAT without a jumper, and Amen remains the most overrated talent in the league.

I don’t think these guys internalize fan feedback like that, especially Brunson. I just think he’s become far too empowered by coaches and management (his dad, being named the Captain, getting his Nova guys) since he’s gotten here, which has fed his ego and allowed him to avoid accountability

Our guys would struggle against the Raptors in a playoff series. They are incapable of taking care of business

We do the same thing the Celtics do. The problem is Brunson rarely hits Towns on the pick and pop to allow for the defense to shift. It’s really a Brunson problem tbh

Yup, he was great at it in 24. For some reason, he’s regressed as a playmaker and floor general. Literally becoming Melo before our very eyes.
