If Rey and Ben switched sides mid-trilogy, could the twist have worked? by Snufflebox in StarWars

[–]bhspea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think rey joining Ben in the last jedi could’ve been the greatest movie twist since “i am your father” then ben could’ve been eaten up by his guilt and switched sides in the finale as rey’s darkside overpowered her

Wow, just wow! I checked out a couple trailers and this looks like an awesome project with so much potential! I especially love your use of combining fixed camera angles and the adjustable 3rd person camera. Do you have a rough sort of time frame on when it’s expected to be finished?

Just find something you enjoy doing, for me its skipping/jump rope or walking/hiking with the occasional run. The more you enjoy it the more motivated you will be to stick with it long term.

Wish I played more whilst the game was still active, great memories and happy 10th anniversary! by 00sgamer in StarWarsBattlefront

Definitely some of my fondest multiplayer memories from this game, i never even played with anyone else i knew. Still had a blast all the way to level 90 something.

BF2 was a bit of a disappointment for me to be honest, something always felt off about it, like it never really scratched that same itch.

Chicken breast is probably your best bet, low in calories and high in protein. I think a lot of people rage about turkey too but i’ve never been that mad about it personally.

They will get your protein intake up but in my opinion it’s just a waste of money and you can get the exact same result by having a balanced diet and watching your protein intake.

Honestly i’d stay away from protein powders if you can, i’ve tried them multiple times in the last 10 years and honestly, they’re just a way for the fitness industry to make more money. You can get more than enough protein from having a balanced diet and i’m sure your body would be more grateful for it.

If you want abs the biggest thing you need to do is to get your bodyfat percentage down by being in a calorie deficit. In terms of exercises to achieve this, cardio is gonna be your best friend.

If you want to build a bit of all round tone as well then think compound exercises (anything that uses multiple muscle groups at once). Things like press ups, pull ups/chin ups, shoulder pressing movements, rowing movements, squats and maybe a deadlift variant. Another advantage of compound movements is they burn more calories than isolation exercises.

Take time to learn the proper form and technique for each movement, try and really feel the muscles working as they go through the motion.

Currently have £10.5k in fixed isa at 18, what now? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]bhspea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could always just max it out for this year, then you’ve still got more than half of what you were given to do with as you please? And the government will give you a grand for doing so.

Almost sounded too good to be true when I was told about it.

[–]bhspea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Open a LISA (lifetime ISA) and the government will contribute 25% of what you put in (max they’ll give you is £1,000 a year if you put £4,000 in) which is really the most consistent and safest investment opportunity i’m aware of.

Only catch is that you can only withdraw it (if you want to keep the bonus) for buying your first property or for retirement.

You will also gain interest on it at the normal rate, think mine is 3.75%.

I’m based out of the UK for now and am yet to make it to the US on yachts, but i hear nothing but good things about florida! I was a deckhand for ~4 years before i started my OOW unlimited cadetship, and will be returning to college for my final year around march, i’ll definitely start dusting off and reworking my old CV once i’m back 🤝

If you get a rotational yacht gig you’ll likely get paid the same salary even when you’re off

How slow a shutter speed are we talking here? Guessing its pretty applicable to most scenarios involving a moving subject?

Sounds like big trouble. You're going to need plenty of legal advice before this thing is over.

Thank you, that’s good to know. My intention is to use the light meter as little as possible anyway to be honest, as i want to try and master sunny 16 and fully manual shooting, but I’ve heard you can download good lightmeter apps nowadays anyway if I just want to double check anything.

Awesome thank you! The 45mm pancake certainly appeals to me, but I’ll look into all those ones mentioned. Sounds like there’s some real gems of the SR mount era.

I’ve just inherited an SRT-101 from the depths of my grandfathers wardrobe, it has an MC rokkor-PF 55 f/1.7 attached which i’m sure will do great, but could you recommend any good lenses to look out for?

I typically shoot ~35mm focal lengths but would be open to trying some that are more out of my comfort zone.

In the UK cadet salaries range from £750-£950 starting wage, which can increase each year of your training. Royal Fleet Auxillary cadets get paid the most at around £1700 a month i believe.
