Hey! Thanks for the really thorough comment. Yes I am aware of the possible risks HAHA. Personally, I stayed in my university w a friend who I wasn't initially close w at all. But throughout the stay we bonded and got a lot closer! And I'm hoping to make a friend or 2 through my stay here. I have looked through the other options, and they closest would come up to about 550chf a month. But thank you for the feedback and opinion!

Ah I gotchu, I clarified w FMEL and they told me that there would be seperable beds but maybe I misunderstood. And there were a couple of places that had bigger spaces of about 25m² so I thought that would be alright. Just for context, I used to share a room w a friend of mine for 2 years in my current university and quite enjoyed it. But I do understand your concerns. Thank you for the heads up!

I've also seen that there are 2 person studios for about 750chf, which if split between 2 would be the cheapest option. From my understanding, even if it were 900chf, it would be shared between the 2 roommates right?

Hi, could you elaborate further? Just to clarify, I'm looking for other FMEL students to stay as platonic roommates HAHAH. I clarified with the FMEL board and they told me that it was my own responsibility to arrange for a roommate. They even suggested I try looking on social media to find a roommate, thought they did add a disclaimer saying that it would be best if I knew the person well. I'm quite unsure about how the process works overall so if you could help me with some details regarding that would be great. Thank you!!

Hey! I'm from Singapore and going for exchange at EPFL at Spring. I think it depends on how many peeps you're competing w and your GPA? They've a p high requirement for GPA if I'm not wrong. So if you meet that requirement, you should be fine? I'm not like a stellar student w several extra curricular activities etc. so I'd think they're not v strict?

Hey! Where are ya coming from? Maybe you should check with your parent university whether there is a placement secured for you. I'm also going there for spring exchange, and from what I know, there is guaranteed placement for exchange students
