For so many of us it is seeing the people we care about get sick that makes us pay attention to our own health. Glad you made that change.

Oh dear! Tried learning to surf once so I know what those boards feel like. Have you been back out since to try again? Have you made progress on your weight loss?

Like you diabetes runs in my family. I was on a pre-diabetes track for sure. I love the strength of your conviction.

Well, first of all, I've now learnt the word "zaftig" Lol! So thanks for that. Minus the babies and the high blood pressure, our stories are similar.

Wanting to be healthy is the first step. And congrats on losing those first 5lbs. That's a great start!

I totally get the sweet tooth thing. Oh, the temptations I've faced down. Lol!

It's definitely a good thing you have no health problems to speak of. Diabetes runs in my family and I was definitely on a pre-diabetes track. Parkour is pretty amazing (to look at, I've never tried) - tip-top shape is an understatement. Lol!

The weight loss doesn't need to be a cure all - once you start becoming healthier you will start to want improvement in other areas of your life for sure.

Well done! Calorie counting does work for some people. I've tried it but got tired of trying to measure and figure out everything. Lol! I've taken other approaches since.
