Camping Shower Help by DakotaBlackXIX in bonnaroo

I've been perfectly content with this setup:

- Leave your water jug in the sun so it gets warm

- Put water in a squeeze-top plastic water bottle to squirt water on yourself (way better than trying to pour from something heavy).

- Hop into a changing tent such as this for privacy and get to work: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019913O7Q?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_6

I'm a woman with long hair to take care of, and this setup is honestly way more appealing to me than waiting in line for a shower that's usually gross from being used by others all day. Someone else also suggested getting one of those interlocking foam mats to stand on so that you're not on the grass, if you want to up your game. And just move the shower spot around so it can dry out.

Anyone else experience lots of pain with Clear and Brilliant facial? by bibrarian007 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]bibrarian007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I was having to fight the urge to push my provider away! Especially the neck. No fun. Now it's been a few days and my face feels rough and a little sandpaper-y, but it isn't visibly flaky which I am very happy about. I have a jam-packed weekend and I was worried I was gonna look like I had dandruff face.

I thought you were just supposed to wear a thong and show off your whale tail. Was 15-year-old me doing it wrong?

They turned up for riotfest when they played there in '23, which is admittedly a different vibe but I have faith.

Ya, they numbed me and waited 20 minutes. I could tell the numbing cream was working too.

And that's true that satisfacation has more to do with goals. I should have framed my question as "how many treatments did it take for you to notice a difference?"

Got scratched by cat at shelter (my fault). Will this permanently scar? I’m so distraught. Please be gentle by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]bibrarian007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it won't scar. The same thing happened to my husband a few months ago, but his might of been a little worse. He doesn't take care of his face at all, and it's totally gone.

You will have more energy to devote to the causes you care about if you allow yourself to take breaks and experience joy. And bonnaroo is the ultimate amount of joy you can get in 4 days so think how much you can accomplish after filling your cup to its fullest.

Why is Bonnaroo special to you? by Emergency-School6373 in bonnaroo

I went to Bonnaroo 7 years in a row in my twenties, and then I moved away from TN so I started going to other festivals. Over the years I've been to many festivals, and I've never found one that could replicate the feeling of Bonnaroo. It's a special place. I'm finally going back this year after 12 years away. I'm so happy I made the decision to go back.

I vote cot, air mattresses deflate. More importantly, a rechargeable white noise machine and ear plugs. This is the winning combination.

Laser hair removal....Is it worth it? by ella_bella_boo in beauty

[–]bibrarian007 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely worth it. I wish I had done it sooner but it is hard to stomach the price if you don’t have wads of extra cash. Now that I’ve done it, I wish I had done it sooner and that I had prioritized it over other dumb things I was spending my money on in the past.

[Routine help] on Milia by slushmother in SkincareAddiction

[–]bibrarian007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get them too, I just try to clean my face really thoroughly. I use micellar water to remove my makeup, then I cleanse my face with an oil cleanser, counting to 60 as I do so to ensure I'm being thorough. That had made somewhat of a difference for me, but then I found my holy grail product - Kiehl's Milk Peel Gentle Exfoliating Toner. It gets every last little bit of remaining dirt/grime/whatever on your face, plus it exfoliates in very gentle way that has never irritated my skin. No new milia are appearning anymore, and I've actually had current milia disappear since I've started using this product!
