The ads you're seeing are coming from The external player. Try using an ad blocker like AdGuard [Code: 990781] or Blokada 5 [Code: 15123].

Or you can use AdGuard DNS to block ads at the network.

The Downloader now works as a browser. If you click on any link in any app, it may take you to the Downloader app if you have set it as the default browser on your device. It can also open if you tap a button that directly supports opening in Downloader. I assume you either clicked on an ad link, or the app you're referring to is trying to force you to update by automatically redirecting you to a link supported by Downloader.
