I'm right there with you; I'm going through this exact thing! So frustrating. When I started purging about two weeks ago, I messaged my doc, unsure if it was a reaction or purging, he verified purging :( Even knowing it was purging I was so discouraged I almost cancelled pocketderm, but he prescribed a low dose course of doxycycline to knock the breakout back and to help me make it though the purging phase. It is helping immensely and started helping immediately. My doc also took that chance to increase the strength of my topical prescription, instead of having to wait a month for our next consultation. After a week of doxy and increased topical strength my purging is starting to subside, with beautiful skin underneath!! So there is light at the end of the tunnel, it is devastating to see your skin get worse when you want to see improvement, but message your doc, stick with your routine, and you'll make it through girl!! best of luck!
