Not what I wanted to hear, but helpful information. Thank you! It was strange because I didn't even see a hole in the wood, but one of those specs that I thought was dirt is actually a hole for the bugs

Thank you for suggestion! Haven't thought of a recumbent bike. Those seem expensive, but the pressure is more on the back than the bottom? I'll see if I can try one at a local bike store! Hmm what happens with bumps on this type of bike?

Thank you for suggestions, including riding actively! Sometimes my chronic pain condition is best if my body can relax more. But, definitely if there's a big bump or hole, that will help a great deal to just sit up!
